I am not sure if it is the whole month, but during my vacay Aug13-24 it changed. They lost EMH on Sunday in MK and gained it on Saturdays. AK gained EMH on Sunday. It some ways it messes me up, but we gained a late night on our last full day. So Disney takes with one hand and gives with another I guess

This enrages me. Haven't checked to see if it botches my plans- heck I don't know if we will realistically make it early enough to take advantage of EMH.......but I planned. As hard as it is to plan so much so far ahead- I did it. And now Disney changes times around?! Just angry. We can't do late evenings with little kids.

I'm pretty cross too. 24th is our last night, and the only night we have planned to use the EMH, to spend a late evening in MK. And those EMH are cancelled. I now need to figure out whether to change my FP+ reservations, or whether to try and hit the park on our final morning (25th) for a last visit... but will that be spoilt by worrying about getting back for our DME pick up?

Im so mad that EMH is no long sunday night at MK. They switched it to Saturday night which is a non park day for us. We only have the 4 day military salute ticket and Saturday was a pool day. So upset there is nothing better than closing down MK at 1am! We have CRT booked one MK day and BOG booked the other ON TOP of that Anna and elsa and Mine Train at ideal times. There is no way I can switch things around.

I am worried about AK am EMH. I didn't secure a safari fp figuring we would safari at 8am. The animals don't come out in the heat for very long.....

Just a heads up.. There's a rumor in the restaurant forum that the BOG lunch FP is going to switch to email invite only starting the day of your checkin. Something else to keep our eyes one. Yesh!!

I'm so happy this doesn't seem to have affected our vacay in anyway. If I had to change all my ADRs and plans now I'd probably have a nervous breakdown! I couldn't imagine if they did this when I'd already made FP+ selections!

I've had great success wight he safari up until 11 in the past. I've found if you head there first thing the line is very reasonable. Just keep your eye on the prize and don't get side tracked! Though really you should have a solid hour +(based on before fp+) where the lines aren't too bad considering it's best first thing. With EMH you should have lots of time to enjoy the stroll from the entrance as well as the ride.

Dag-nabbit! I was so excited to finally experience PM Magic Hours at MK! Totally teed off that they went and changed them as there are none my entire trip now. Boooooooooo! Hissssssss! Boooooooo!

I know but I think EMH is canceled for the day we planned! So we have to book it to safari at rd and change our first fp

I've looked at the park hours at the Disney World website and on the MDE app for August 16 to August 23. Originally I had extra magic hours for MK on Sunday the 17th but now it's back on the 16th.

I very rarely trust the park hours info on the Disney website....it has a history of being incorrect unfortunately. I always use this calendar.

Although, I acknowledge it has not been updated to show the later hours yet, like the travel agent one does (which is formatted just like this).

I have to wonder though, if it is true...are they planning on extending Harambe Nights at AK?? Because I would be pretty excited about that...I'm bummed it ends before we get there.

I've recently thought of the benefits of year round teaching- of course primarily is that I would love a Disney vacation in a comfortable weather, cheaper rates, low crowds opportunity!!!

So are you saying now there are NOT a.m. EMH hours at AK? I think you'll definitely still be OK for the safari, just hit it first thing. We've done this many times with no EMH hours and the line was extremely manageable. The animals are actually pretty active in the morning. In fact, the only time we've seen them more active is when it's raining.

Well.. just checked the Disney web site. They are now showing September 1/14 as the first MNSSHP --- I was sure I had heard here on the forums that the first night was to be the Friday of the Labour Day weekend - the 29th of August.

Disregard my theory below! LOL! smh.

I believe that August 29th is the first night of Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party this year.. Which would have the park closing at 7pm for the ticketed event.

I looked at the September TA calendar and then manually typed August over the September and the calendar that loaded has the 11pm time. Whew. I didn't feel like rearranging ADRs.

Perfect! And yes, it's still showing the Sunday EMH at MK. It was last updated a little over a week ago, so I'd say it's pretty accurate.

We've done this many times with no EMH hours and the line was extremely manageable. The animals are actually pretty active in the morning. Yes- this is my dilemma. Still haven't checked our plans against the changes so it might not be an issue at all.
