We made a Hollywood & Vine Dinner Fantasmic! Dining Package reservation - super excited! 6:50p on 8/8/14

I made one for our stay, but could only get 5:10pm. Oh well. I hope the food is good, as I have read good and bad things about H&V. As long as it doesn't taste bad or really look icky, I am ok with that. I am a bit worried though, my kids never want to go back to Chef Mickey's. This and Cape May for breakfast are the only 2 buffets we are doing.

So looking forward to not stand in line as long for F!. Great score for dinner.

Have any of you guys checked out the "how bad is August" thread??? It's kinda making me nervous!

It's in theme park attractions and stratagies and it is titled, "How Bad is August". It should come up if you do a search.

I think we all realize that August in Florida will be very hot and very humid. Do not let that thread scare you! It is hot and humid in Ohio too in August. We will all be fine! Drink a lot of water and have a blast.:cool1:

Completely agree with this! I haven't been to Disney in August in ages but it's gotten just as hot and humid up here in Massachusetts in August - it's hot and humid everywhere in America at that time. Just have a water bottle with you at all times and take time off to rest so you don't make yourself sick from the heat.

Man, I'm in such a Disney mood right now, I can't wait til August!

Going to Disney in August is the only time that I have appreciated the humidity here in New England!! I actually hope for terrible, humid summers here now to get me ready for Disney!

i'm already listed for 8/3 to 8/9 for all star music but we switched resorts! i'll be staying at pop century now :thumbsup2

After the long, cold winter we had and the currently cold, wet spring we're having, I am not worried about dealing with the Florida heat & humidity. We expect it and plan for it - - - doubt I'll embrace it, though! I really want to get to the parks early but I am worried about my teens (and DH for that matter) actually being on board with my plans.

We ate at H&V last year with the F! package. We enjoyed it. There were lots of choices of food. DD loved the dessert. I couldn't keep here away from the brownies.

Don't let them scare you. We were there last Aug. It's hot, but it's not terrible. Just remember to stay hydrated and take breaks out of the sun. :thumbsup2

QOTD: Do you have plans to try a new attraction this trip? If so, what one?!

I have a whole list because there are still plenty of things we haven't tried!
My biggest priorities are the MK opening show, Fantastmic! and catching a vet procedure at Rafiki's Planet Watch. The rest of the list includes:
Soarin
Hall of Presidents
Enchanted Tiki Room
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Tea Cups
Nemo
Monster's Inc Laugh Floor and/or Turtle Talk

Push was on the list but

I'm from MA and was there last August as well :thumbsup2. The heat was bad but didnt scare me off sinc i'm doing it again! :thumbsup2

I will say I personally wouldnt go with the kids in august b/c i think that would be much for me with the lines, and chasing characters and keeping after the kids, etc. But with just Dh and I relaxing and not doing so many rides and doing nights more than the hot days, its doable for me.

What part of MA are you in? I am a bit north of Boston

Other than the Mine Train nothing new for me, but hoping to finally get both DS's into Hall of Presidents! I just haven't been able to convince them yet......would also LOVE to get DS8 on TOT this trip! Convinced DS then 11 to try it in Feb. after many failed attempts & he ended up going on 8x :goodvibes

I dont' recall ever doing Mission Space so I want to do that and I didn't get to the World Showcase or DTD the last time I went so I'm looking forward to those.
