Crap! There goes my plan!!! Seriously.......send us some of those spring-like temperatures. Its -36 here this morning. We're frozen stiff and buried!!

Lol it's -8 here today and damn the weatherman says snow arrives Tuesday lol! That's really cold.


I hope to not complain about the heat this summer too!

The one ride I would wait for without a fast pass would be rock n roller coaster. I could wait 45 minutes, but that is my limit. Lol. I know. I am impatient. Due to the fact that we go often, I can miss rides if I have to and not feel bad. I feel like I could just ride it another time.

Epcot: TT 45 min
HS: TSM 45 min
AK: KS 45-60 min.

I would wait for BTMRR about 45 min, TSMM about an hour though that que is fun, and Everest about 45-60. They are our favorites though lol.

I think TSM is the ride I would wait longest for too. With kids 45 min max would be a stretch. Just me and DH we could wait it out I think 90 min would be the definite cut off to wait or not to wait.

20 minutes is my max for any ride. We get there super early and once rides are beyond 20 minutes we are out of there. I have zero patience for lines. We'll hit the pools instead.

To be fair, that's in Celsius (we Canucks don't measure our temperatures in Fahrenheit) ... but even converted, that's -32F. So not much of a difference.

It "warmed up" this afternoon to -12 C (10F). It was a heat wave . And then it snowed another couple of inches .

I won't wait more than about 20 max for any ride...30 if the kids really want to wait. If we don't get on it this trip, we'll get it next time.

We're very similar. Everest, Rock n Rollercoaster, Soarin' and BTMRR would probably be the only exceptions. But quite honestly, we're obviously not very patient people . While not doing the Disney parks this trip, we will definitely have Quick Queue (front of the line) passes for our SeaWorld days so there will be no waiting and lots of riding .

I'd wait an hour for Tower of Terror or Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. And maybe Kali River Rapids just because the queue is so beautiful!

I can't even imagine how cold that feels like. I think the only time the temps get in the negatives around here, is the "feel like" temperature and not the actual temperature. Even then, it isn't that much negative.

I hope to not complain about the heat this summer too!

I use to complain about both. Then I decided to pick one to complain about. Now, no matter how freezing, or wet and icky is it, instead of complaining about the weather I say that I would rather have cold and wet than 100+, humid, bad ozone weather that makes me sweat in places I shouldn't be sweating.

Honestly, it depends on the ride. I would rather not wait any longer than an hour. If the wait is longer than that, I would just come back to it another time during the trip. The only way I would wait longer, is if we have tried several times to ride it, with a wait less than an hour, and it's either wait longer or not ride it, or it is a ride I have never been on. Like in 2012, when we waited just a little over 2 hours to ride TSMM.

Mousemommy1! Glad to have you back! I was thinking of you the other day (in that "wonder where the heck she disappeared to?" kind of way ) and wondered if your August trip that was moved to an April trip that was moved back to an August trip might have been rescheduled to a different month again .

I am hoping that once basketball slows down for DD9 (three more weeks!!!) I will have a break for about a month until softball starts.....and all the while, DD7 has gymnastics for several hours a week.... Busy.....need vacation now!!!!

I hear ya.....my DS's basketball season concludes on February 21st (unless they make our provincial finals, which I don't think will happen). Much as I love his athletic pursuits and the joy it brings him..........I am looking forward to being done.

Its exhausting . I am obviously not as young as I used to be!

Right now the only one of our DSs that does sports is our oldest. Even though football season is over, they still have early morning practice. When you typically can't fall asleep until 2 AM, a 6:15 wake up call is really painful.

I think the vacation itself is splurging
We did up park days from 5 to 7! I see excess Dole Whip and Mickey Bar splurging, too.

I have two friends who recently indulged in club level resorts with their families- one at WL and one at BC. Sounds so fabulous!

Our big splurge is a suite at AoA. There are 4 of us, so we could squeeze into a single, but my son really had his heart set on a LK room.

We added an extra day onto the beginning of our vacation. We have decided to pay OOP so we are splurging on a couple table service meals.
