****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Question for everyone..
Are you bringing anything to read on vacation?
I picked up Into the Forge, and Into the Fire by Dennis L. McKiernan at the Library sales rack. Never read him before, but the books look interesting -- "Finally, the story of the Great War of the Ban is told! Two young wanderers are given a small copper coin by a dying human, who tells them to deliver it "East to Agron" and "warn all," but dies before explaining who they are to deliver it to, and what they are to warn them of. Making matters worse, in order to deliver the message, the pair must pass through a war in the East between the Black Mage Modru and the alliance of free folk opposing him, and end up being drawn into events which threaten to overwhelm them, save for the coin which has much more significance than anyone could imagine!"

I am a chocoholic by nature though. Its a food group in this house. And I rationalize that it if you eat enough chocolate, it qualifies as a vegetable serving....after all, its made from a bean, right? ;)
Works for me. :lmao:
And everybody knows beer is made from grain, so it's a bread..

So true!! I was down in the dumps early in the week over some things going on in our house too. I told DH maybe we should cancel our trip and he said no that we were going on vacation we would work the other stuff out a little at a time. So I laid around my 2 days off worrying over things I had no control over and could kick myself in the pants for not getting my stuff ready for Disney. So I am a couple of days behind but the fever is back so I am sure I will catch up. Sometimes we just let to much get to us whether it is good or bad stress it still gets to us
Darn - sounds like me, this year. I had to stay off the comp, lest I do something really stoopud :rolleyes2 And I barely finished packing 2 hours ago - I'm normally packed a week early. :sad2:

I'm pretty sure we've talked about mini golf before don't remember if it was a generic are you gonna/have you played or if we talked about courses.
If you've already been, which would you recommend?

Fantasia Gardens is terrific. It's easy, and a lot of fun. We've done that one a bunch of times. Never done the Fairways.
WinterSummerland wasn't as much fun, IMO. Cute theming, and I took a lot of pics, but I don't think I'd go back there, on either side. And unless you've got a car, it's in the middle of practically nowhere

Even my DW thinks I am nuts with the apps. Here are my Disney/travel apps: <pics snipped>
Hmmm :scratchin Almost makes me want a smartphone..... :rotfl2:

We arrived at Disney today!!!! We were supposed to be staying at Asmu in two preferred connecting rooms, but when we arrived there was a note on our account stating no able to grant request. At AsMu the preferred rooms are 1 king and 2 doubles. So the upgraded us connecting rooms at CBR!!!!! Pirate rooms with a lake view!!!! I am so excited our first trip to Disney and CBR!!!
Ooh ! Pixie Dusting ! !pixiedust:
We arrive tomorrow, and I just hope that 'not able' means they aren't booked solid. I had to work to get DH to agree to a Value, and if it's super crowded there, he'll be unhappy. :crossfingers:

!~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~!
:woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo:
Only 1 more sleep !!
The airport van arrives in 12 hours.

G'night, peoples - I'm sorry I never got around to posting a pre-trip, but I'll be taking heavy notes, and will try my darndest to get out a TR.

Take care, everybody

We have a couple of places that we love to watch Wishes...if we are inside MK then you can find us in the little walk way that goes in front of the Noodle Station on the way to Tomorrowland, the line for Tinker Bell goes right over it and you can see everything with not a lot of people too (oops maybe I shouldn't of said that :goodvibes). If we are outside of MK, we love to watch Wishes on the California Grill's Balcony after we are done eating a wonderful meal there or we like to go to the beach at the Poly.

We have watched from those same vantage points (path to Tomorrowland and Cali Grill) and those were great views. Going to try to watch one night at the Poly, any other night, usually wherever we are when it starts! We like to watch Illuminations from Germany!

That is too cool! Enjoy!!

Just want to say thank you to everyone posting. Karmalady and I had my parents over and it seemed to bring us down. Reading the post for the last three days has brought me back and same with Karmalady. So thanks for all the fairy dust. Now it is time to get back to it so we can be ready to leaving in two weeks time.

Glad you are feeling better about your trip!! I know it's sometimes difficult to travel with family (or even good friends!) but keep your heads up, you will have a great time. Maybe we will see you all at the pool!

GOT MY MICKEY MAIL!

Hey everyone... Just driving back and caught up on all the chatter over the last few days. Our dates are getting closer and closer!!!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Cheers!

This is crazy! I just can't sleep...thinking about packing! What bag should I bring onboard the plane? Will I forget the park tickets, gps and car seat? Do I really want that adr? All the while, Call me Maybe keeps playing in my head! I can't do this for a whole week!
7 more half sleeps til Disney!

12 days until we leave!!!!!:dance3::yay::cheer2::cool1:

but part of me is starting to stress!!! I still work 9 of 12 days, plus I need to finish activity books, clean house spotless, pack, make car C.D's, make my father a new CD b/c he is sooking, do back to school shopping, take the van in to be serviced (oil change, chek the air conditioner, etc), finish autograph books, the list just keeps going! I guess tonight I crack down! No more procrastinating!

16 days to go.
I have to go get a broken wisdom tooth extracted this morning:sad2:

Did I mention I am terrified? It never ever goes as badly as I imagine it will but I am still a ball of anxiety. Sigh. Time to put on my big girl pants.

I'll be able to relax and get excited for the trip again once this is done.

Aw, poor girl. I know exactly how you feel. I have my regular 9-month cleaning on Thursday and that freaks me out all on its own :scared:. I don't know why, but any dentist visit comes with fear and foreboding. Where's a chicken smilie when you need one?

And the funny thing is.....I have never even had a cavity yet (touch wood....if the dentist finds one on Thursday afternoon, I will regret opening my big mouth!! :headache:)
