Excellent idea on the Pin fanny pack. Ds is getting quite a collection and even though he only brings what he wants to trade in the parks for the day on his lanyard it does start to bug him after awhile. Also when it's hot it rubs on his neck and is weighed down and makes him uncomfortable. This time I think we'll bring enough for the trades he's looking for but keep it to a minimum and throw it in the park bag if needed.
It's a shame because he likes to carry around and show what he's collected so far but it's just not worth it in the heat. We'll save the Pin displaying for our February trip![]()
I used a neck wallet I got from a conference. I have 1-2 others that have zips and pouches but I finally decided they weren't practical for holding pins. This one does a great job and then she has a spot for her KTTW and can carry it herself (occassionally). Initially I thought of just putting her pins on the strap of her cross body purse. But I like that on occassions that she doesn't want to carry her cross body purse, she can just wear this around her waist or as a cross-body by itself (the strap is long enough) I'm not worried about my son as his lanyard is long enough to wear cross body to distribute the weight. I couldn't find a lanyard long enough for my tall DD.

Some things I've done or plan to this weekend:
Clear SD card in both cameras (DSLR and P&S)
Charge camera batteries and portable DVD player battery
Scrub stroller (it's nasty after a soggy trip to the county fair a couple weeks ago)
Print schedules
Make sure all trip docs are in my folder
Updated music and charged kids' iPods
Make sure DS has his kindle fire loaded with games, books and charged
Stop mail
That's it. Getting down to the nitty gritty now. Id clean the house this weekend, but we're dog sitting a slobbery dog and with 2 kids and 3 dogs, there's just no sense in doing a deep clean right now.
Hmm...I can wash my DDs purse - anyone know how to clean a satin bag? I don't put the schedules, etc on our cellphones until the day before/day off as I continue to make changes. I've resolved not to print the schedule this year and get used to using our smartphones.
I'm still panicky, but seeing everyone's to-do lists is helping a LOT!
Just had a minor panic attack. Looked at our reservations for Disney today online as we are considering doing the online check in (what would you advise?) and it said our flight leaving going home was scheduled for 12 AMWhy would I book a flight leaving at 12am? So freaked out briefly then looked on our email confirmation - turns out it is indeed for 12 but PM and out travel agent just put in the wrong time. Phew! Anyone know if we can change that directly through Disney or do we need our agent to do that? She is away so may not get done.
Last year, my TA put the wrong time for our departing ME. We just happened to be at the front desk a couple of days before our last day asking about something else and my DH decided to double check. We were NOT happy. Thank goodness we had no problems fixing the time/date. Needless to say, we switched TAs. This year, I've been double checking everything with my TA - the poor thing has received so many emails from me!!
