Do we have any ideas when this free dining will take place? I would like to go 8/19-8/24 but havent booked yet. Should I book now and try to add on FD?

we are really not sure of the dates for FD. BUt if you go by last years dates, your dated would be early. Last year free dining started on Aug 26th

According to mousemisers.com, Disney will be releasing MYW discounts next week. Most people here are hoping for Free Dining, but I'm really hoping for free Park Hopper and Waterpark upgrades.

Well someone just stated on another free dining thread that they spoke to a cm and he did state they free dining was definitely coming available to disney visa card holders on monday he just wasnt sure of the dates! That is promising! I hope he's right! We'll see he also told her to check her local paper sunday!

Last year they did at the value resorts. I don't remember when it got offered, but I ended up getting my room at POP for about $72 per night including tax.

I am right there with you! But if they only offer it for September I am seriously thinking of switching to Sept! I prefer August so I hope that the 23rd is correct and it is Disney's best kept secret this year! see post #616 on this thread I took it from the other thread!

Aug. 3rd starts Value season and you can get AAA 20% off the Value Resorts. That's what I have currently. We need two rooms so it basically comes out to $150/night for both rooms.

I cant believe I am the first to post this. My Mom is a travel agent. She recieved an email this morning from her Disney Rep. Here are the details for 2008 Free Dining. 08/24/08 - 09/20/08. Disney Visa holders can book on 04/07/08 with code AYG...General public opens up on 04/10/08...sorry she didnt give me hte code for this one, as I have been waiting for the Disney visa code.

I will call my MOm in the morning to get the exact wording. It basically stated that she knew her travel agents were on the look out for the free dining promo and she gave them the details. It did NOT say that values were excluded.

hmmm...this will include part of our stay this year. Anone know if they will require a minimum ticket purchase with this package? the first year they offered free dining, we took part but only got 1 day base tickets. I will consider it again as long as we don't need to purchase more than 1 day base tickets. We already have our tickets from a previous trip.
