Official AUGUST 2008 CODES to be posted here please!!:)

I did the Photopass in October. I went together with some others here who were going around the same time. There are lots of places at each park where the Photopass people are taking pics. They give you a card the first time and each time they take a pic, they add it to the card. Here are a list of some of the locations...http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/digital-photos.htm

You don't have to buy the Photopass CD before you go. I think you can preview the pictures for so long before they are deleted from the site. You can also ask the photographer to take a picture with your camera after they take it with theirs.

My pictures turned out great and it was nice to have both me and my son in a lot of pictures. Before, it was either me or him.

Anyone else doing the photo pass thing or have you ever done it before? Is it easy/ worth it?
looking forward to your answers as always!

We did photopass and loved it. If you plan on visiting lots of characters it's great because you don't have to worry about taking pictures. I'd just hand my card over and the photographer took the pictures and I could enjoy the moment. I also loved the special pictures we took holding Tink and Simba. My all time favorite is of my two boys fighting Captain Hook. If you're a picture nut it's defintely worth it.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: tick tock tick tock still waiting...........triple blowing pixie dust, my lips are getting tired and I fear I might faint soon if they dont come out with codes for August soon.......:grouphug: :surfweb: :surfweb: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Does anyone know when they released them last year? I remember booking my September vacation in May, but i think the codes had already been out by then

I'm subscribing as well! Better late than never! :) Now let's hope for FD earlier in the month!!!:goodvibes

Last year code ZJZ came out the beginning of June.... I remember distinctly because it was 46 days before our August 17th trip and I called my AAA TA to have the code applied to my pkg and it knocked an additional $211 off my AAA rate  Hoping for something similar this year!!! :thumbsup2

What kind of membership do you buy with AAA? Do you know what it cost and would I have to cancel my current reservation or could I just modify?

I booked a room only through disney and than changed over to CAA (CAA is the canadian version of AAA) for dinning and park tickets package. It was past the 180 day mark so I had all my ADR's.

They had to cancel my room only ressie and start over and my reservation number changed. The reservation number attached to my ADR's. Naturally I ran into a problem with my beloved ADR's that I had painstakingly planned and nurtured as lovingly as my first born child.:scared1:

Things would have run smoother if I had have booked the dinning and tickets through Disney first and than transferred over to CAA/AAA. Just hoping to save everyone else the trouble I went through.

I thought that ADRs were NOT attached to reservation numbers!??!!

They aren't. I don't give my reservation number when I make ADR's. I do give my telephone number. Don't forget, you don't have to be staying on Disney property to make ADR's! Maybe, though, because diamondintherough used an outside travel agency there was a problem :confused3

Yes, the problem was my CAA agent knows less about Disney than I do. She thought I could just call up again and get what I wanted. "Be flexible" she said. "Buy the park hopper and than it doesn't matter what night you eat where". The woman is a classic example of Travel agent doesn't always know best. She is supposed to be the resident expert. She had never heard of the acronym A D R before.

Please before all you other TA's out there start roasting me-I have met many of you who know your Disney inside and out. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me here on the Disboards. Because of all of you I know what I know about Disney and I know that this woman knew nothing about Disney. I truly wish it WAS you I was dealing with instead.

I called to check in on my CAA agent as she was cancelling my ADR's on another line. So I saved all but one in the nick of time. I had to reschedule our first evening's ADR by 15 minutes earlier and as we are a group of seven people we will be sitting at two tables instead of one. I did try to be nice to the woman. I tried to keep the scarasm out of my voice. I'm sure she has NO idea why I was hyperventalating into the phone when she calmly said "I'll be right with you after I cancel your meal arrangements".

As an FYI those "meal arrangements" took me weeks of pouring over menu's and trying to figure out park touring plans to plan the right park and consequently the right restaurant on the right day. This woman had no idea I had put so much tender love and care into those plans.

She does now.

She probably thinks I'm a nutcase.

Ooooh, I'm glad that some of it worked out for you, diamondintherough. You actually may end up at one table, anyway, in the end. I'm sending lots of :pixiedust: for you! You'll be there before you know it, and all of this aggravation will be over. :goodvibes

Last year we never did get an email with the code even though we have had a Disney Visa for a long time. I'm asking/begging/pleading that if someone has the code to post it on the dis boards early so I can join in the fun please! ;)

last year the code was posted here the night before the offer became available. I personally did not get the email from disney visa untill 7pm that monday that the offer was available.

Last year I booked free dining with Disney Visa on Monday, April 9. I believe I first heard about the offer on Friday, April 6 on the boards. I never received the email and I called before hand to make sure they had the correct address in their system. I'm hoping we hear something definite soon.

Do we have any ideas when this free dining will take place? I would like to go 8/19-8/24 but havent booked yet. Should I book now and try to add on FD?
