I'd like to also see Dimitri. The actor who played him was so hot. I'm sure he wouldn't come back but someone new to play him. He is Lukes Dad.

Dimitri? Damian Grimaldi is Luke's dad. I did love that actor but I've seen him in primetime so it's doubtful he'd come back to daytime.

I know many of you love to hate James but I rated him the lowest and said when the plots involve him I turn off my tv because I really do. I cannot stand that character or the actor. He has done a few commercials and I find myself saying "oooh, I hate that guy" even when he's not James, lol.

The storyline I loved and miss the most was the long-ago triangle of Betsy-Steve-Craig. Man how I miss seeing Steve. He was sooo hot.

One of the things I find frustrating (and I realize stars want to move on) is actor replacement. I think that is part of the reason I love Lily, Holden, Jack and Carly. To my knowledge they're the only ones I know in those roles. I think I remember a taller actress playing Lily for a bit but I wasn't a regular watcher at that point. I don't like the new Paul (he's the 4th or so), the new Mike (Christian ? the blond actor was gorgeous as was his hot brother who had the affair with Conner mentioned above), the new Craig (not new exactly but not the same guy from the Betsy-Steve-Craig triangle). Anyway, as you see I can go on and on and on...

Missed today as son is ill and we just got back from doctor's. Did Lily and Carly find the mysterious Keith yet?

Oooooh, DAMIEN!!! He was a very attractive man! And that Italian accent- how dreamy! His mama was absolutely evil and demented- but he'd be fun to have back in town.

As for recasts, I don't mind them so much- if the actor is good, and the character is well written, I can get used to a new face as the old character. After all, some of the most popular actors are recasts- Emily, Craig, Mike, Rosanna, Paul, Margo, Tom, etc., etc.

My take on recasts is, just write good stuff, and we will watch !

I just wanted to say reading these posts have really brought back some good memories. I've been watching for over 20 years and I forgot about some of the characters. I loved Conner and Evan - they are Walshes and never even mentioned. and Damien, Luke's dad- never mentioned. Andy too. Let's get rid of Raphael, his sister (who's coming soon), Julia, JJ and bring back some of the old timers.

BTW Lilly & Carly found where Keith lives but haven't talked to him directly. They planted some info w/ a lady (missed who she was) maybe his mom that Julia is in Oakdale and he should find her. I read he comes on the show tomorrow. Holden got Julia an apt. and seems very cozy w/ her in a short amount of time.

Carly left a message with the apartment building mgr. I can't believe Holden is acting like such a jerk to his entire family! How he could choose Julia over a relationship with his MOTHER is beyond me! She's bee there forever and helped him through some really rough times, and now he says "I'm tired of worrying about everybody else, it's time I took care of myself"....are you kidding me!!!!
As far as the recasts, I can't stand the new Hal. I just think he's not a very good actor, he seems like he's trying too hard. The new Craig I can deal with, though I did like the first one too. I also miss the old Rosanna. And, I do remember someone else playing Lily back in the early 80's with long curly hair? Don't know who she was though. As far as Andy, what would they bring him back to do? I don't remember the circumstances of his departure. He's married to the actress that plays Carly in real life, and they have a couple of kids, maybe he's a stay at home dad?

Kirk and Samantha (lucinda's sister) were married when they dissapeared. They had planned on leaving town together, but something happened to make it appear to the audience that James took them. I can't remember what happened, but I think they vanished before they were suppose to, like right beofre someone wedding, and everyone assumed they just decided to go early. James and Samatha had been involed before she was with Kirk, and as usually James could not let go.

Lily in the early 80's? I don't think Lily and Lucinda came on the scene until about 1984 or 5. It was not Martha Byrne at first, but she came on VERY shortly after...like the first Lily was only Lily for a month or two (I remember reading some article about Martha Byrne talking about how quickly they axed the 1st Lily and brought her in). And then there was a taller gal who played Lily in the late 80's early 90's----you know when Lily and Holden FINALLY got married, it wasn't the "real" Lily and it just wasn't as compelling at all.

Now that Holden has let his family down and Luke is in the "know" about what's going on- I would like to see Damien show up and claim his son. Wouldn't that burn Holden's butt?? A nice strong shoulder for Lily to lean on, I don't think Holden would like that at ALL!

I'd like to see Samantha come back too- I would also like to see them use Henry more. He's a great talent, he make me laugh every time.

What do you suppose Luke wants at Julia's new apartment??

Yes, it's Damien not Dimitri (he was on All My Children). Getting my shows mixed up. Anyway, I think it would be cool if he came back now with the Holden, Julia thing. His accent was so hot.

sha_lyn - thanks for the history on Kirk and Samantha. I remember all that now. My how this show has taken twists and turns.
However, I destinctly remember Kirk and Ellie being together. I can't remember if it was before Sam or after. I think it was before. I remember Emma not being too happy about them together.

I'd also like to see Duncan come back. He could stir up things between Jessica and Ben again! For those who are new, Duncan McKecknie was previously married to Jessica and is Bonnie's father.

Kirk and Ellie were definitely together- they were married! On the yacht- and there was some mixup with the marriage- like the captain that married them wasn't really a captain, so their marriage wasn't legit or something like that. They were a great couple.

Remember the yacht club and how just about every teen every on the show worked there at one point or another! I can just picture Courtney and Andy sitting there in their swim suits after a "long" shift at the yacht club.

It wasn't all that great today. Mike & Katie got very close - I thought they were going to kiss but then the show ended. You know they won't - at least not yet. Aaron became manager of Metro and gave Raphael a job. Jennifer was talking to Craig about Street Jeans. Keith called Julia a couple of times and is on his way to her apt. - Lilly & Carly were right behind him to see what will happen. Luke skipped school to see Julia and really gave it to her.

I hope tomorrow is better.

I really enjoyed the scenes with Lucinda and Dusty today. Reminded me of the old Lucinda, getting a massage and talking business at the same time. I thought Dusty's reactions were funny.

You all got me thinking about storylines and characters from years past and as I was going to sleep last night something popped into my head. When Connor was on the show (I liked her - even thought she and Holden might get together but they just worked together and were friends) she was involved with a guy that worked for Cal. Wasn't his name Linc? He was blonde and muscular. What I can't remember was the order in which things happened. Was she with Linc first and then Cal or visa versa? Didn't she cheat on Cal and that's why they split? I liked Kirk Anderson - it would be a kick for him to come back. Wasn't he with Iva Snyder first, then Ellie (who I didn't care for) and then finally Sam? And come to think of it Craig was with Iva, Ellie, and had something with Sam too right? I remember Iva (ex Nola Reardon from GL) was always getting dumped and little sis Ellie usually picked up where she left off. P.S. The actress that played Ellie was involved with/lived with Jon Hensley (Holden) in real life and I remeber seeing an old soap magazine a while back and it was a photo of when the cast went to Italy with Royce and Emily story and there's Jon Hensley, his gf who played Ellie and Kelly Menighan (now Mrs. Hensley) and the guy (Terry Lester the old Jack from Young and the Restless who played Royce) eating dinner. Funny how things turn out huh? There may have been as much going on off screen as there was on screen lol.

He just blasted her for having an affair with his dad WHILE HE'S STILL MARRIED and she was doing her usual semi-crying, yet trying to justify and rationalize the whole thing, and that they all needed to sit down and talk, etc. She kept saying what a good guy his father is, and Luke was saying, "Not anymore....not after what he's doing to me, my mom and my little sisters!" This new Luke is a pretty good actor- not too annoying like some of the younger actors can be- must get his acting genes from his Momma (Kim Zimmer- Reva on GL).
