i know a lot of us do anyways, but you don't really need to get online and book ADR's right ON day 180. Even CRT and Chef Mickeys & O'hana will have decent availability for at least a month or two.
The others I have booked like 1 month before the trip, no problem. So it's not like you have to be up at 5:59 a.m. with credit card in hand, lol.

Also, at the 45 day mark, when people have to cancel their trips, ADRs open up that were not available earlier.

update on SW flights: still holding steady. I expect (hope) to see some sort of decrease tomorrow or wednesday.

I booked our airfare this afternoon for pur group of 11 on SW into PVD for 179 pp. that brings our RT total pp to 350. Which, in this inflated economy, I think it's a pretty decent price. Now to get through the cold months. I have stocked up on classic Disney movies to do movie night once a week. Maybe, just maybe, that will make the time move faster. Lol.

What are your dates? I was looking today for 4/18 and 4/27 and they are high! We usually fly out of MHT but are considering PVD since it seems to be cheaper....

cool, did you get added to the first post?

Yep, I did it.

Wow, I had to go through six pages tonight so I hope I did not miss anyone. Please check the first post to make sure I added you. Also check the ADR post (991) to make sure I got your ADRs.

You people make me more and more happy to drive!

I'm another one that is NOT from NE. Dh is retired on disability and the pastor of a small church. I left my job in 2007. We are pretty much able to choose when we go as long as we only miss one Sunday. That gives us two nights on the road and eleven nights at WDW. We'll be celebrating his 60th birthday and our 36th anniversary on this trip. We've been in April once before at the same time and found the weather to be good and the crowds to be comfortable. We roasted in October and froze and got soaked for six days in November. You never really know what kind of weather you will get. I am bringing the $$$$ sweatshirts and the $$$$ ponchos we had to buy during the November trip along with us, no way am I putting out that kind of money again!

there are a couple flights coming into Boston on AT that are $210 right now for the 21st. That's not so bad......they're not non-stop of course

Just booked a short stay at AKV (Jambo) for April 18-21! Can't wait to watch the giraffes from our balcony and walk downstairs to Dinner at Jiko!

April 10-23 PVD always seems to be the cheapest answer for us. Plus a generally easier airport. Both flights are non stop.

We've contemplated changing our resort to there. I just can't seem to justify the price difference. Is it really that awesome?

We had to make a change and commit to off-site. We are lucky enough to be able to go multiple times next year, but we can't do it comfortably staying onsite with Easter prices. We are going to stay off site at Silver Lake Resort-Silver Points from 3/29-4/5. We are staying at Royal Plaza on our last night (just a place to sleep after a long day at MK before driving home on Sat). I am bummed that we can't stay onsite, but the numbers (even with the best of discount hopes) just didn't make sense since MIL has RCI so I can get a condo with full kitchen for less than half of the cost of a value resort with a discount. Had to be realistic with what we can handle without sacrificing the ability to go ;)

If there is anyone here who has a positive review of Silver Lake-Silver Points, I would love to here from you so that I can get excited about this change;).

For me it is, but it may not be for everyone. We own at Boardwalk, but when it makes sense I prefer AKV.

But, if staying there is cost prohibitive you can still get some of the magic just by visiting.

Stayed there in 2010. We got there much earlier than our suite was ready. We had a tired/cranky two year old with us. They did what they could to get us in there earlier than anticipated. I had a problem with the wifi, they addressed it immediately. We enjoyed the pools. My nephew enjoyed the playgrounds. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. Our room was a little outdated, super clean though. I've seen that many suites have been updated, maybe they all have now.

Hope that puts you at ease!

I have dates 4/18 and 4/28 and am having to fly out of Boston, and I LIVE in MHT. The fares are too ridiculous!!

I'm going to keep a running record here of the flights I'm interested so maybe once I have it all written out I can crack the pricing code of the airlines. :rotfl:

Yesterday the flights I'm interested in were $288 and $347 (SW). I laughed at the absurdity of ever spending that much for a one-way (albeit non-stop) flight.
This morning, shortly after SW released their newest dates, those flights went up to $347 & $418 respectively, and have stayed ever since. :

so it's tuesday morning @ 8 a.m. and when I first woke up this a.m. the flights were still at $347 & $418. I just checked again and now they're back down to $288 & $347, supporting the theory that fares go down on Tuesdays. Hopefully this isn't it and they'll go down even further.

Concerning your Dream trip 4/18-4/21

We won't be on that trip....we're waiting for the 2014 schedule to come out, wanting to cruise sometime around the 1st two weeks in May 2014.

On a different note, I was wondering though if any of you were doing the Fish Extenders? We had an awesome time doing that. We also enjoyed the ideas on the "DISigns" thread to personalize things for our trip and or FE gifts.

I've been looking at all of the posts for airfare...I feel bad for you all that are having to pay high rates.

My wife and i drove last time from central NY to see the mouse, but my Vertigo issues flared up, and now Flying is my best travel friend....LOL...

We found flights through JetBlue paying between $110-155 per flight for non-stop fares. (our stay is 4/16-4/30)

Generally, it's less expensive on the early side of reserving, and once in a while just before the day of the flight. We generally book early, and if there is a decrease in price, we call Jetblue and they will credit us the difference. That way, if the prices increase on us, we got in good from the beginning. We also notice that Tuesday and Wednesday is least expensive to fly in our area.

Just hope that with gasoline prices continuing to rise, that those waiting for a lower fare won't get stuck paying even more later. I hope all find an excellent deal soon :thumbsup2

Ooooh, I didn't know you could do that with JB. We are used to flying SW which you can get the credit for decreased fares...

I don't think we'll get much lower than the $950 for 4 people that I got. I'll take it! Thank you Jet Blue!! :worship:

For our party of 4, we ended up spending a little more. You did good! :cool1: Long gone are the days of $99 fares...from our location anyways.
