*OFFICIAL* AP Watch thread for Jan/Feb UPDATE: THERE OUT 1/1 THRU 2/11

Thumbs down for Disney !!!! I have used the 800 number (Disney Club) both this morning-7.00 EST and 12.30 with no luck. The CMs were both very nice and tried everything but had nothing in their systems. I then tried the number for AP members and used the codes on this thread. She said they were in the system but pending. When I said I knew they were useable she said a supervisor could only override for a code. The supervisor (she said she was not called a supervisor at Disney) came on and demanded to know where I got the codes. I said from a discussion thread and that they were usable. She said that such threads were a- a-a "unreliable" and I shouldn't belive anything on them. After an unpleasant exchange, I ended the call, having first taken her name. She told me that ABSOLUTELY NO AP DISCOUNTS WERE AVAILABLE FOR BEYOND DECEMBER 26. Well, I then called 407-9347639 and was connected immediately and with no problems at all got an AP rate for Jan. 23 for 2 rooms for total of 399.18 complete!!! This was 5 minutes after talking to an AP supervisor. Keep calling! They are in the system!

I didn't know there was a special phone number to call for AP holders! I have one, and didn't know this. What is the number?

To those of you waiting for AP rates...I wish you all the luck and pixie dust in the world. I feel your pain as I went through this same thing earlier this year. I think Disney should do like other hotels and set a date each year where AP rates wil be listed and available for the entire next year. They could have there blackout dates whenver they wanted but this would stop alot of this madness. We have a saying in the south, "I don't have a dog in this hunt", which means this doesn't apply to me because my trip in March is on a friends DVC points; however, I truly hope Disney comes through for everyone else.
To those who feel the necessity to post on this thread about "there are no AP entitlements". I say to you to leave these people alone. The title to this thread is very clear and if you dont agree just go on to the next thread. Like I said before, I don't even need AP rates for my trip but I think that the others should have a place just for encouragement and "pertinent" information not debate. Just my 2 cents...
Again, GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

I booked the Poly for the night of Jan. 23 (moving from DVC) for two rooms--total for both rooms together, all taxes was 399.18 so 199.59 per room.
One of the CMs gave me the AP number-407 5607277. It was really the worst number to call but there it is.

Things went from bad to worse. In the process of attempting to give me ap discounts fro WL, the CM dropped my current reservations at Pop Century. Gone. Can't revive. zip. ouch.

she saw the ap discount and made WL reservations and in the end, it would not allow her to save the the reservation.
I had not told her to cancel the other reservation, only to copy the information from it, and if I liked the rates, we could drop it.
The problem was, and I find it more each time, that the CMs understand and speak very bad english.

She is supposed to call me back when she is able to complete my WL reservation.

The code B** is not active and the computers will not let them book them. I beleive earlier some did but they caught it. The code will be activated at a future date. I also ran across a code CBI which is a CM only code so that didn't work either. I called the 1-407-wdisney # :scratchin

About 35 minutes on hold - talked to Alisha - no AP rates out. They should have been out by now, but try again next week.

Not exactly the response I wanted. Maybe tomorrow will be the day!

just got off the phone with 407 wdisney. Asked for Poly in Jan ap rates, gave em the magic code, put on hold for a while and came back quoting something that sounded very rack rate like. I said gee can you give me some more details on it, was put on hold for a longer time (the music even stopped playing??!!!) and was told that um err all the info had been loaded in yet and that they would be available Dec 4!!!! Guess they're been gonna quite busy all day tomorrow with this also. Reminds of all of the turmoil surrounding the change in PS reservations that maybe they're getting so pounded with calls, they're gonna go ahead and get it done. Have fun tomorrow on the phone at 7 am est......

I called earlier before heading to the airport and tried to get an AP rate. Gave them the "code" and he knew right away about "that" code. He said it was not a valid code. It was a code that was posted on Mousesavers website...yep, he said Mousesavers. They (mousesavers) apparenty have inside information and they were not suppose to release that code. Of course I denied knowing about any websites and tried to tell him that was the code my friend was given by a CM when making ressies. Anywho...still no luck on any discounts. I did check Mousesavers and they don't have anything mentioned abut any codes. They were last updated the 1st. Poor Mary is getting a bum wrap!!!!

2 x's with 800 929-0228 and 1x with 407 w disney, both had extensive waits. Anyway all cm's said the same thing, no rates available and 1 even denied the code even exists. All said that they aren't told when or if rates are coming out and the only thing to do is to try back in the future.

Just got off the phone also....

The code is in the system..and is in PENDING status...

So the ery nice CM got on the horn with a supervizor, and the Super told her to have me call back tomorrow....wink wink...

Without really saying it, she pretty much told me that tomorrow is the day....

I am brand new to this. Quick question... A few months ago I ordered the Winter Dream Maker Package. When I do the math I got Yacht Club Waterview for $270 per night (January) including tax. Would it pay for me to explore the AP opportunities or is this already a decent rate (Note: We're a family of five so we're limited on on-site locations.)

lknut01: You only need one AP to get the AP rate. But then you'd have to look into other ticket media for the rest of you. Will you visit the water parks or PI? DQ is not included in park hopper plus media.

A good place for larger families are the Fort Wilderness Cabins. Down side is the longer transportation except to the MK.

To clarify ticket media you could look at www.mousesavers.com or www.wdwig.com where the tickets are compared.

Reliable ticket brokers include www.ticketmania.com and www.floridaorlandotickets.net Some people like www.gopitravel.com which includes a character breakfast voucher with 6 and 7 day hopper tickets.

Hi everyone, I have a question for you...Since I already have reservations at Pop Century will I have to cancel those before any others can be made in my name? I would really like one of the moderates if a AP rate does come out, I was just wondering if I can call and make a reservation at a moderate hotel and then cancel the other reservations once the new ones are made? I don't want to loose my reservation at pop century if I can't get the other one. I hope you can understand what I am trying to say....LOL.

Thanks everyone!
Kim

i'm in the same boat with you. I had ressies at popcentury
1-1-04 to 1-8-04. Then i called today to try to get AP rates, i asked about AAA rates as well, and got a AAA rate of 188 or something a night. So the Cm dropped my two lasts nights at PC. The problem is i don't have a AAA :0(
thinking that i can change to a AP rate. If not, then i hope that PC is available again for my last two nights.

anyways, moral of the story, i've made all the changes under one reservation. not sure if this is the way to go since i haven't changed around a ressie so many times in the past.

would love some feedback. thanks in advance

We probably won't go to the waterparks. We'll be there from the 24th through the 30th of Jan. and I'd like 7 days of park access. My dh (just learning this lingo) doesn't like the looks or location of Fort Wilderness so I think we're sticking with the Yacht Club. Our kids are 5, 6, 6 so we thought the location would be easiest. We've never gone to Disney at all. Really looking for any advice on getting the best rate. Maybe the ultimate park hoppers in the WDM package were a mistake?
