I set my DVR to record that Idol show on Fox Reality every week. Last weeks was sad! they have the kid that looks like a bush baby and the chunky blonde kid sing a duet. It was horrible. Do they not know that people are making fun of them?!

I used to watch a little silly show Dolly had WAAAAY back in the day (1976) that she would end the show singing that song... I thought it was just BEAUTIFUL. I never really liked Whitney's version because I loved that one so much!

Sometimes less is more. "I Will Always Love You" is actually a really pretty song but Whitney's version is so over the top and "big" that it becomes more about Whitney than the song itself. Dolly's original version is more subtle and you really get the feeling behind it. I like her version much better!
