You just might love it.....Mandy and I might get you over to our side. Country isnt that bad. I hated it till I went to college. Well let take that back. I liked a few songs but for the most part I couldnt stand it....

Mandy I just downloaded the new George Strait Album today. It is great it hits stores on Tues.....www.mp3nova.org

:thumbsup2
If anyone asks me today if I like country music, I generall say "no" because contemporary country is just painfully boring to me. Country music kind of fizzled after the 90s (post Garth, IMO). But I still have a special place for those old-style country artists like Dolly, George Strait, Kenny Rogers, and oh I loved Hank Williams Jr.

I really look forward to this week, as I think Dolly is a truly talented musician.

Thanks Mandy. Can't wait to see how they do on Tuesday night, esp. my man DC

Ok, is there something wrong with me that every night before I go to bed, I watch DC's performances that I have on my DVR? I'm thinking I'm becoming a little obsessed :rotfl: Please tell me I'm not alone.

Well, I suppose it's not a popular thing to admit anymore, but I was like that with Taylor. I'd watch each week's AI over and over til the next week. I still have every single one of his AI MP3s on my player.

I found this funny, I'm looking on craiglists for jobs.

I stumbled across one for actors and models who are undiscovered and guess which team is behind it? 19 E and producers of Idol and SYTYCD.

Kewl... you think they need 50yo women who can't sing OR dance?? :cool1:

How about do they need women of a 'certain age' who can really sing and (of course) act but only sometimes dance?

agnes!

Females....:confused3

:lmao:

remember Dan it's a Mars/Venus thing

Mandy thanks for the link. I'm looking forward to tomorrow night! I played all of idol downloads while cooking dinner last night. :dance3:

HB...way to go on your brackets!! I was bummed that Davidson didn't knock off Kansas.

Gee I am old. When i am talking about favorite players and they are of that era. Then I am old....:rotfl2:

Yeah...Dolphins fav team...Dan Marino favorite player....#1....Billyp was taken so that was the next obvious choice.

I have a Marino Shrine on my side of our bedroom...wife hates it so therefore I love it more....:rotfl2:

My all-time fav quarterbacks are Dan Marino and Troy Aikman.

The Shrine: :lmao:

No quarterback playing next season will match those two.

lol i get "cute" ALL the time. i never understood it. it's frustrating at times, but i guess i'll never be that "pretty" one or the "hott" one or whatever, so i guess i'll accept that one day lol. and it's not a butterfly, it's a peacock! lol. i didn't want my WHOLE face painted, either. in the picture it was just around the eyes, and i couldn't see what she was doing until it was done, and i wasn't too happy about it. and i also took a nap while having that on, figure that one out! lol.

Falling asleep during a face painting must be as bad as falling asleep during a party....

it made me SO mad. then they said "well, we're not as busy as we were"....but then they have ALL of us working for 3 hours on Saturdays....which makes no sense. if we're not "that" busy.....then why are you ADDING people to Saturdays??:confused3

We hear that at work too. But our Saturdays have been rather busy of late.

I would love to redo my Disname. It's just so old and boring now..and inaccurate.

I've been on one board that the moderators (or at least the admins) can change your username where you can keep your postcount. Not sure if that'd work here; it'd be worth it to ask...

Boy, you guys talk a lot :rotfl2:

Seriously, I'm jealous of you people going in December. I love it there that time of year, but my husband can't vacation in the winter due to his job so we are going in October. Of course, I'm happy that we are going at all (it's been 3 years) :cool1: and we are staying at POFQ (my favorite moderate) thanks to a 40% off code I got in the mail. I miss my yearly trips, but I happily make these sacrifices to stay home with my girls (of course, after being trapped inside for 3 days with both of them sick, I am almost nostalgic for my days at work :rotfl: )

LilIrish, I think your pictures look great, and I'm sorry about your job.
Mean Queen - have fun in Disney.

Anyway, to keep things on topic, I am off to i-tunes to get DC's Billie Jean. Catch you all later.

I won't be going until NEXT October. I've stayed at POP (the first year) and Sports last year. Prefer POP over Sports. POP seems more open and roomy; less cramped.

Not sure about where I'd be staying; it's a trip to celebrate some friends' wedding anniversary.

No. Not at all. :rolleyes1 I have watched his performances a RIDICULOUS number of times. Already watched one of them this morning. Since the kids are back at school and DH is at work I will probably watching him a LOT more today.

Is it Tuesday yet?

Phooey. They don't want me, they only want those 19-25 year olds.

Anybody else see the irony in the fact that Nigel, Simon Fuller, Simon Cowell, Paula, Randy AND Seacrest are ALL TOO OLD to actually be a contestant on most of the their AI (or AI-ilk, whatever this Nashville thing is for) shows?

agnes!

Babieemelly, your sig just reminded me it's the Yankee's home opener today. I wonder if they're playing now with it being rainy and miserable outside. I think I'll go and check!

:thumbsup2

Dont forget our newest country star....Bon Jovi....Oh I did not like Garth at all. A couple songs were good but he was just way over hyped. Kinda how Mandy feels about Carrie and Taylor...."Wolves" was his best song and it never hit the radio....oh and he was horrible in concert

Mars vs Venus they are way too close. More like Pluto vs Mercury.....:rotfl2:

I have to admit. I like Tom Brady. I always respected the coach till I saw how he acted this season and i am so glad they didnt win the superbowl because of hm....But with the retirement of Favre, who I loved watching...the next best are Brady and Peyton. Oh and I do not like Peyton one bit but I respect him as a great QB. True QBs like Aikman and Marino are really a thing of the past. Brady and Manning are the closest things we have. You dont see the new age QBs of Vick, McNabb and others competimg for a ring. there is a reason for that a QB should do just that QB not run all over the field and not be a very good passer. Thats the problem with todays QB. bring back the Marions, Aikmans, Montanna's, Young's, Favre's (who can run and throw), and who else.....
