Kids are so different nowadays. When I was a teenager I would have been all over Bo and Constantine just like I am now. ;)

Sorry if you thought I was being insulting. I wasn't stating my opinion on unwed mothers at all. I know a few and they are wonderful people. Sorry my terminology seems ancient to you, but that doesn't make my point any less valid.

Sure, you can't compare having a baby without being married and what Scott did legally, but morally (AND legally in Scott's case) they both made mistakes and they are both dealing (well) with the situations that they created.

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: What do you mean you're trying not to be insulting....You just repeated that single parents have morally made a mistake! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: Let's just agree to disagree on this one.

I've been thinking more about this whole Anwar-online-dating thing. Here's my question, which may lead to the true/hoax answer:

Would a 25 year old music teacher really be earning $50-$75,000 a year? If so, man I'm in the wrong business.

Shelby...I voted Creepy...

Also...I love John Taylor as well...Going to see Duran Duran on Ap. 6th in Montreal...I CAN'T WAIT

You will have a GREAT time...the tour this year is AWESOME! My sis got to meet them before the Detroit show. She took her DH instead of me! It will be a LONG time before I forgive her. (He's a heavy metal fan and couldn't name a Duran Duran song if his life depended on it!) Can you tell I'm a bit bitter??? Anyway, HAVE FUN!!!

Maybe they play Fantasia more in the south, where she's from?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I live in Michigan and they play Fantasia's music ALL the time on the stations I listen too. They play her music constantly on the R&B stations here in Michigan. To be honest, I get tired of hearing her songs. This is how much they play it. Heck the other day I was in the beauty supply store and what do I hear, another Fantasia song. She also just won a NAACP award for best new artist.

Here are some statistics on past/present American Idol contestants:

Clay Aiken- has sold 1,577,700 cd's
Kelly Clarkson- has sold 1,210,362 cd's
Ruben Studdard- sold 1,179,274 cd's
Fantasia Barrino- sold 692,550 cd's
Diana DeGarmo- sold 109,091 cd's
George Huff -sold 15,236 cd's
Justin Guarini- only sold 5,207 cd's :confused3
Kimberly Locke- sold 197,967 cd's (I loved Kimberly)
Joshua Gracin- sold 278,063 cd's
Ryan Starr- only sold 852 cd's (didn't even know she came out with something?)

Looks like Clay has sold the best thus far!! :music:

Shelby...I met them in 1995...John and Simon were nice enough but Nick was SUPER NICE AND SWEET to me. He was impressed that I had been in line since 5 am...It's 6:30 pm at that time. Then they played a gig at a small club and I got to take a ton of pics...It was great...I would be bitter with your SIS too.... :rotfl:

J cooper...Thanks for the stats...

I thought Kelly had sold more

OK, I'm admitting my ignorance here, so don't laugh at me. I realize that this is text messaging shorthand but what is <3 <3 <3 :confused3 I get the gist but.....?????

It took me forever to figure that out too. They are sideways hearts. Tilt your head to the right, and you will see! :)

I have a very hard time figuring out internetspeak sometimes. Just yikes!

I *DO* believe that they have made a moral mistake. That doesn't mean that I think that they are bad people! No one is perfect. THAT was my point.

I am with ya on the disagreeing thing. I don't think I am explaining myself very clearly apparently. :)

I live in Ontario and I've never heard Fantasia on the radio. I only heard one song of Clay and one of Ruben - I think they were the first singles. Heard nothing from the other contestants except for Kelly who I hear on a regular basis.

I am definitely with you on this one. I look at some of these young guys the young girls think are attractive these days, and I just don't get it. Bo and Constantine were/are just my style!

My district pays about $48-52 K starting if you have a masters, or bachelors with some teaching experience in another district or private/parochial school.

Didn't he teach in DC?

My hubby hears Josh all the time on the station he listens to....

And I can't remember the guy I listen to on Christian radio--but it is often..he's the one from Season 1 that sang Under the boardwalk....and he was the one that fell off the stage after a show and injured his back. His name escapes me, but he isn't listed above.

I don't hear from anyone else.

I'm very surprised that Clay has sold more than kelly!

Glad to see Josh Gracin pretty high up in numbers...I enjoy his music, they play him alot on the country station here.

I hear Kelly constantly on the stations I listen too, especially her newer material. They played the Clay song, "Invisible" (I think that was the name) when it first came out, but I don't hear him anymore. My friend listens to the R&B stations and she says she always hears Ruben and Fantasia.

Of course, Simon says Carrie will outsell them all. :) We'll have to wait and see.

I so much agree.

A few thoughts.....

While I don't believe that Jessica deserved to go this early she wasn't going to win so I can't say that it upset me.

I like Scott. He wasn't very good last week but I don't think that one week should have gotten him kicked off the show.

I liked Anwar at the beginning but he is too much of a milquetoast and he is pitchy. I thought he should have been the one to go.

I like Bo although he wasn't very good last night. I like guys with deep voices. He would have done well singing some Stone Temple Pilot or Collective Soul.

My choice for the top spots would be Bo, Scott and Carrie.

Something that Simon told Paula to do this year during the auditions stuck with me and it is my measuring stick. Close your eyes and listen to the singers. I think many of us are swayed by looks. I think a lot of the people who don't like Scott would change their minds if they did that. He really is one of the best singers of the bunch.
