I spend way too much time on the computer!!! I do wish they would just tell us the theme. Speculating on what the contestants are going to sing is so much fun.

I agree. "Sweet Home Alabama" is definitely a Bo song if there ever was one! I have pictured him singing that several times since he first made it to AI. I think he would nail it!

My statement was made because everyone keeps saying that Scott isn't a role model because he made one mistake in the heat of the moment 4 years ago. He wasn't arrested 5 times for this. There was no pattern of abuse. He was leaving his son and moving out of the house. A fight broke out and he made a stupid decision. I don't think he should be crucified for that. WE aren't privy to the entire story so we have no idea what sort of frame of miind he was in.

Sorry if you thought I was being insulting. I wasn't stating my opinion on unwed mothers at all. I know a few and they are wonderful people. Sorry my terminology seems ancient to you, but that doesn't make my point any less valid.

Sure, you can't compare having a baby without being married and what Scott did legally, but morally (AND legally in Scott's case) they both made mistakes and they are both dealing (well) with the situations that they created.

I don't want to get into an argument about children that are born to married vs. unmarrieds, I know single parents that take care of their kids better than themselves and married parents that never should have considered having children. My point was that if we expect our American idols to be innocent little angels, perhaps we should just shut the show down right now, because nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes.

Sandy 22, I don't think Shmoogrrrl was meaning to be insulting, but merely bringing up the fact that since Fantasia wasn't married there may have been controversy over the fact that she had a child. The thing was there really were a lot of people who didn't want her to win because of this fact. Whether or not anyone on the thread believes that as well is their opinion, but even though discriminating because of this may seem antiquated, it was still an issue last year. I guess to each their own. I just didn't like her voice. But then again, I really didn't like anyone in season 3!

Thank you! I am glad someone got that I wasn't suggesting that we should round up all single parents and throw them in jail or something!

I didn't know that it was a big deal last year, but I guess I wasn't really reading a lot about AI on the internet then!

I am with you on not having a favorite last year. I liked George a lot, but I think he was more cut out for Gospel singing than Pop. I'd LOVE it if he recorded a Gospel album!

I liked Jennifer Hudson, but I think that was mainly because she was once on the Disney Cruise Line.

OK, I'm admitting my ignorance here, so don't laugh at me. I realize that this is text messaging shorthand but what is <3 <3 <3 I get the gist but.....?????

Does anyone else find it positively amazing that we're all watching the same AI performances and yet we each see them COMPLETELY differently? Constantine for example. People seem to either be nuts for him or can't stand him at all. (I'm in the second camp.)

To me Carrie and Bo are just head and shoulders above all the others. I loved Bo's performance this week, but I'm a big Black Crowes fan so I guess it's not surprising. I think Nadia has really been disappointing the past couple of weeks. A few weeks ago this girl had STAR written all over her and now, Eh.

Sorry to see Jessica go so soon. She had a really nice voice, but she didn't pick songs that highlighted her abilities very well.
