I really liked Jessica, so I'm sad to see her go. :( Oh well.

I love Scott. I vote for him every week. I am really glad to see Jessica go. She has no talent at all. Who votes for her? LOL!

No Talent? At least she can sing in tune. I almost had to cover my ears during Scott's song, very painful to listen to! I thought Jessica has a very nice, very strong bluesy voice that has a great tone to it. Jessica did make a mistake in song choice, but she shouldn't have been punished the way she was. Even with a weak song choice, she had a much better performance than Scott (off-key and the falsetto was painful) Nikko (spent the whole song mumbling his way through it, and Anwar (and I thought Scott was off-key, ouch!).

Congratulations Simon...mission accomplished. Your cruel comment as to Jessica's "unlikeability " factor sealed her fate and further cleared Carrie's path to victory. (BTW, didn't see any shots of Carrie wiping her dry eyes over this one...) She had the potential to cut in on Carrie's votes and certainly had the voice to match. As to Scott's escape, is he this year's John Stevens, garnering all the sympathy votes, regardless of his performance? Nadia is in serious trouble...possibly losing out to an increasingly popular Vonzell.
Anwar, Anwar, Anwar....you gotta pull this next one out. As Randy and Paula said, you have one of the top voices in the competition. Hopefully this is a kick in the pants that you and your fans need!!!!

I was sorry to see Jessica go too. I have one favorite but I like several of the contestants and she was in no way the worst of those left over. But to each their own I guess.

I must say, that ALL of the contestants in the top 10 this year are MUCH better than Fantasia!!

With that being said, I was shocked to see Jessica go this soon. I figured she would make it to #3!!! I was really thinking it would be Scott or Nikko going out this week & next, with Anwar & Anthony shortly after them. Scott & Anwar are both very boring. Scott in his over all style - he just doesn't have personality or charisma ( I would rather watch grass grow) & Anwar with his overall song choices. I agree with Simon - the songs are shaky but he hits the last big note.

That's what I was thinking? He is this year's John Stevens. So not deserving to be there, yet people keep voting for him. Come on, this guy should be the next American Idol? No way!!!

That being said, I didn't watch the show, but I can't believe Jessica was out this early. She has much more talent than Scott and Anthony combined. And Scott wasn't even in the bottom 3? That's just ridiculous.

Yea, Scott's father may not have been very supportive of him, but boo hoo that's in the past. I saw family and friends there for him yesterday. Feeling sorry for someone is not a reason to vote for them. As for Nikko, yea he may have a talented father, but that doesn't mean he's talented. I guess people must be voting because they like his dad? :confused3
I just have to reply b/c I like both Scott and Nikko. I don't vote b/c I am not able to...long story...but if I did vote I would have voted for both of them. And I don't worry about the sob stories or who someone's father is either. Honestly, since I don't care at all about sports I have no idea who Nikko's dad is. I mean, I know from this thread who he is but it's the first I heard of it. And I like Scott's voice and wouldn't vote for him just b/c of his family issues. It is possible that some of us like them for other reasons, such as we like their voices or their style of music. Also, I realize that you don't like Nikko and I can understand why but not all of us think R&B is crap.

That being said, I do agree that Scott was absolutely terrible last night and deserved to be in the bottom 3 but I thought Anthony should have been too. I wasn't real surprised that Anwar or Jessica was in the bottom but I didn't expect Nadia to be. I would rather have had Anwar go home but I am not that impressed with Jessica either so I am glad she left. I figure she would have been gone by next week either way. I know Scott deserved to be in the bottom 3 but I am glad he wasn't b/c now maybe he'll realize how close he could have come to going home and will do better next week.

it should have been scott or anthony....whoever you are that are voting for Scott...WHY? He was awful last night and has no personality when he sings...he makes the same moves for every song he sings...at least last week he flung his glasses, that was original...and what is up with him chanting to himself every time Ryan is focused on him on vote night...that is creepy...He is NOT Ruben!
Actually I don't think Scott is chanting. He always looks towards the sky, so I think he is saying a prayer. Without turning this into a religious debate, I find that appealing. And apparently it is working, b/c he hasn't been voted off yet. ;)

I am VERY bummed as Jessica was in my top three along with Carrie and Bo. Vonzell has now replaced Jessica as she is gone :guilty: I think Anwar, Nikko and Anthony were much worse than Jessica - anyday. I have a soft spot for Scott, although I don't vote for him much. I truly voted for Jess many, many times and guess it clearly was not enough. I am sad :(

What the heck??? :sad2: Jessica should have stayed, at least a few more weeks. I was REALLY surprised she got voted off. :( Scott should have been the one.

I'm really surprised Jessica was voted off last night. I would like to have seen any of the following gone last night: Bo, Anwar, Nikko, Scott or Nadia. Oh well.

Sorry, but I think all the judges were "on something" last night if they thought Constantine was great. I thought that was his worst performance so far. Granted, Bo's song choice was not great and it was probably his worst so far, but he's still a better singer than Constantine. I hate the way Constantine was looking into the camera. :earseek:
I still believe there were better songs from the 90's.

FINALLY!!!!!! Someone that feels like I did. I've been trying to catch up to post my thoughts and couldn't believe how many just LOVED his performance. I thought it was awful and I just cringed watching him. And that scruffy beard look does not work on him at all. bleck. It infuriates me that they keep comparing Bo and Constantine. I don't hate him, but I certainly do not see what all the hype about him is. Now..... I can't believe Jessica got the boot. She was definately better than Scott, Anwar, and Anthony. I honestly think Simons "likablity" statement hurt her. I agree that she didn't seem as personable as the others, but I think that is partly the shows fault. They seem to have their own favorites and give us more details on them than others. I don't think I saw anyone bawling about though, like the other two girls. Anyone else notice that?

Oh, one more thing. I just love Simon! I love his straight forward attitude. I was :rotfl: when he kept telling Paula, " I know, and I'M right". :rotfl2:

Jumping in with a few comments...I really think that usually Simon's 'comments' actually help the ones he has just torn apart. It seems to get that sympathy vote going. But, it didn't work for Jessica. No, she hasn't been a favorite of mine, but I was surprised to see her go and others stay.

Constantine....oh my. My two dd's, 28 and 11, both want to run away with him. I just don't get it. My 28 y/o calls me after every song he sings and says..."Are you getting it yet Ma? He's so wonderful!!" He's okay but not all that great. Must be an old thing. I'm old and so out of it. But I love Anwar. And Nadia. So, you can imagine my distress last night.

Do any of you think that sometimes people don't vote for someone because they figure that person will get plenty of votes from others, and then no one votes for them, putting them in the bottom three? Or, have the judges already decided who is going to the top two spot and the voting is just to make it look good? It sure does seem that way.

Hi, I certainly don't get Constantine either. As a reformed "rocker chick" of the eighties, I would run away if I saw him coming, He's creepy. And I'm sorry...he can't sing.

ITA. This has been the best season since Clay and Ruebens (Season 2??) anyway, I , too, like ALL the contestants and will be sad to see them go with the exception of Mikaliah. I just didn't like her voice at all!

I think this will be a nail biter until the end!

All this talk about talent and creepy...Anthony has no talent and I find HIM creepy. There's no way he should still be in this competition. Jessica shouldn't be gone yet. And yes, I noticed that Carrie didn't seem too upset.

ITA......Jessica has one of the best voices in the competition. Can't understand why people don't like her. Guess people don't know a good thing when they see it. To sum up Nikko's performances in one word would be "BORING". He will be gone soon as well as Scott and Anwar.

Add me to the I'm Shocked list. I never thought it would be Jessica who I really liked. The only one of the bottom three I figured would be there was Anwar. Ack! And Nadia was there again?? What's up with that? She must have a small fan base in comparison to the others.

I'm another Scott fan. Do I think he'll win it all? Nope. But I enjoy listening to him sing.

As for agreeing with the judges, here's my percentages.

Randy - 50%

Paula - 25%

Simon - 80%

I'm not sure of their ages but I suspect Simon may be the oldest of the three and is closer to what I'm looking for in an American Idol.

I suspect every time someone is let go over the next weeks, it's going to get harder and harder although Niikko or Anwar could go and I'd be OK with that.

ETA: The first song, When you say you love me, is now winning for the Red Cross single. That was my favorite of the three. Last night's offering was dreadful!
