I so agree. I think Constantine will be around a while though b/c I believe that his fans will keep him there no matter how bad he sounds...or at least sounds to me!

This brings up an interesting question: Who is your favorite in the competition so far and who is your LEAST favorite???

For me, I would have to say my favorite male is between Bo and Nikko (I like both b/c they have such different music styles. I like the R&B sound and the rock sound). My favorite female is Vonzell followed by Carrie. I really like Carrie's voice, but she tends to bore me too.

My LEAST favorite is a toss up between Constantine and Anwar. And Jessica and Anthony are next on my list.

Sure, as long as you don't tell my dh that I keep watching the new Crossroads because of Keith Urban and not because of John Fogerty, the reason he's watching it.

I agree, although if you asked my DH he would say that I still ACT like a teeny bopper!!!!! <only when it comes to musicians, which DH is also>

When I watch BO performing it reminds me of the 70's rockers, i.e. Lynard Skynard, etc. I think BO has an old soul. He's good also but Constantine

You know, I completely agree with this even though I am not a Constantine fan. I don't think that it is simply teeny boppers that are doing the voting. From what I have heard I think there are just as many ADULTS, if not MORE, than there are teens that are voting. At least I know more adults than teens that watch AI anyway.

I thought Anthony was pretty good last night, and if we were voting only on the performance last night it should be Scott to go. I also did not like constantine, Nadia and Anwar. I usually like Anwar, but he did sound awful at the beginning of the song. for a music teacher, he should be able to stay on key.

Lets see... My least favorite is Scott. To me, his voice was always weak, then it totally falls apart when he tries to do what he did last night. But don't tell him I said that... I'm scared of him!

Anwar follows a close second to last. I thought he would have turned out so much better. But he keeps choosing BORING songs, IMHO.. and his voice seems to be faltering.

Most favorite for me is Nadia. I think she has the whole package. She has that energy that just makes you feel good. I'm tired of them saying she doesn't have the best singing voice in the group. I think that's far from the truth.

I wanted Anthony to do better, but he is sorta in the middle of the group. I'll put Bo or Vonzell as 2nd place.


I think Carrie got points for the Heart song.. but I felt the background singers carried her through the chorus (you couldnt hear her voice much and the background singers got the higher notes.. she didn't)

I love Constantine but his choice of songs confuses me. After hearing that it was 90's songs I thought oh yay there are a lot of GREAT rock songs from the 90's but no one did ANY OF THEM!!!!

I personally don't like 90's music. I hated the whole grunge scene. My opinion was that punk happened in the late 70's/80's and didn't need to be repeated. Pop songs in the 90's were stuck in a flux as well.

I was around in the 90's, (young married adult) and those songs were poor choices. I'm not a fan of Whitney Houston but Vonzell sang it out the park!

I agree. I really expected them to pick some awesome songs last night. There were so many songs to choose from in the 90s and they chose songs that I either didn't know or that I didn't think was the best choice. The only 2 that didn't really surprise me was Carrie and Nikko. I told Dh that Carrie would no doubt choose a Martina McBride song b/c it suits her country style and she did. I also knew Nikko would choose something R&B and he did. I was really surprised with what Bo and Constantine chose. I could have thought of some really good songs for their voices, but oh well.

rofl. Yeah I've been told that I do sometimes too. My argument is that the day you let the passion and wonder of life go from your perception is the day you lose something extremely important.

I agree. I wonder if AI has a list of some sort that they have to choose from, I say that because in years past the Judges would tell you when they've heard a certain song too many times, i.e., like they want the contestants to sing songs no one has sung before.

I too could of picked LOTS of songs from the 90's to fit Bo and Constantine better, oh well!!!! no one asked me, LOL!!!

Favorite guy: This rotates. Sometimes its Bo, sometimes Anwar, and sometimes (but not very often) Constantine. I find the other male performers BORING!

Favorite female: This rotates as well. Nadia is fresh, exciting performer, but her range is extrememly limited. Jessica is gutsy, and different as well, (nice to see a normal sized performer who is proportionately correct). Vonzell is fabulously cute and fun.. lately her song selection and singing has improved vastly.

They do have to have permission from the artist and whoever has rights to the song before they can sing it. Many artists will not allow their music to be sung on Idol shows.

Saying that, there still must be better songs available to them than what has been sung lately.
