Sure, as long as you don't tell my dh that I keep watching the new Crossroads because of Keith Urban and not because of John Fogerty, the reason he's watching it.

They do have to have permission from the artist and whoever has rights to the song before they can sing it. Many artists will not allow their music to be sung on Idol shows.

Saying that, there still must be better songs available to them than what has been sung lately.

That might very well be it right there, the artists are NOT giving their approval for their song to be sung. It makes more sense now although like you said there has to be other songs available that are better than what everyone is picking.

My favorite all around is Bo, even though I'm not a rock fan he wears me OUT!! He's just a PRO!!!

My second fave is Anwar but he really needs to pick it up.

My favorite female is Nadia, though there is something stiff about her.

Carrie has an amazing voice but she just doesn't do it for me. She performs like a wind up doll!

Who will leave tonight???? I think Jessica, Anthony and Scott will pull up the rear, no telling who will drop off.

I really Like Scott, but, fear he may be gone this week or next. Nadia is OK, but doesn't do much for me. I like Jessica now, and Carrie. Why doesn't anyone like Nikko? Because he is a famous Baseball Players son? I think he is pretty good.

You know, I completely agree with this even though I am not a Constantine fan. I don't think that it is simply teeny boppers that are doing the voting. From what I have heard I think there are just as many ADULTS, if not MORE, than there are teens that are voting. At least I know more adults than teens that watch AI anyway.

I know a few adult women at work that like Constantine. (in their 30 and 40's) The one in her 40's said he reminds her of her first love in high school...same haircut and mannerisms. She asked me today who I though was going home and before I answered she said "if you say Constantine, I'll bop you!"

EVERYONE'S song choices this year confuses me. They are almost all choosing songs that were boring or bad even when they were first sung.

since they have a song list to choose from they might not have too good of a selection. I imagine there are some legal hassles with getting the approval to have songs allowed on AI (maybe that's why we hear repeats)

Paula made a comment after Anthony's song that they had considered taking it off the song list because they heard it so many times.

I like Nikko too. I'm just not a fan of the music he likes to sing. I thought he did a good job on his song last night but I never even heard it before. Maybe that's better because I couldn't compare it to the original singers.

I think the bottom 3 this week should be Scott, Anthony & I hate to say it but Anwar. I hope Anwar doesn't get the boot. He really needs to step it up. He was very good at the beginning of American Idol, and his last 2 perfomances have gone down hill? I was a fan of Scott but now he is becoming boring. He doesn't sing any lively songs. Kind of sticks with the same ballard stuff. Scott is also stiff and hum drum when performing. I was surprised last week when he threw the glasses on the stage. That was a big step for him.

my favorite guy is probably Bo, my favorite girl, Vonzell or Nadia.
my least favorites....hmmm....probably Anwar and Carrie. Used to be Constantine and Nikko were my least favorite guys, but they are growing on me. I agree Carrie has a good voice (though I really couldn't stand the song she sang last night) but to echo what others have said, I just think she is boring.

i think Anthony will probably go home tonight, or Scott. I really don't want Scott to go home, but you know what? I realized it's not becos I've thought his last few performances have been amazing, by any means. I flat out did not enjoy him last night at all. But I haven't really figured out what he is all about yet, and I'm just plain curious to see more of him.

I finally got to watch this since I wasn't home last night, and now I have gone through the 20 pages since yesterday...phew....

I really like Scott, and now im worried he is going to go....I hope he doesn't I think he would do much better next week, this is the first song he has sung that I didn't like, and I would buy his CD and I haven't bought any Idols CD's so that is actually saying something from me!

I thought Anwar was awful...im sorry Anwar fans, I just did...

I thought Constantine was great, i really love that song and I thought he did a perfect job.

Paula......egahds.....she seemed like she was on something for sure, but then after Scotts song she got even weirder, saying she was vibing and swaying along, it was like she got really drunk all of a sudden...slurring her words...it was really bad.
DH and I have bets going on when she will be in rehab.

30 mins to the show.....if Scott goes it is my fault cause I wasn't home to vote for him....

Can we vote NO for the single to be released. One week was He Ain't Heavy, He's my Brother and then this! I missed one of the three options, but I can't think it was any better.

Oh NO--please tell me that they did NOT make them dress up like muppets for a FORD commercial. Please tell me that didn't happen. I could just see the look on Bo and Constantine's face and checking those show contracts to see if they could get out of dressing like a muppet.
