Ugh! We have to listen to Mikayla again. Even her little phrase during the group number, it was painful.

Well, I wasn't surprised that Lindsay and Mikalah were in the bottom 2. That's the way it should have been in my opinion. I knew Lindsay would be gone, although I was hoping it would be Mikalah. Maybe next week will be the week we finally get rid of her...keeping my fingers crossed anyway! I can't stand the thought of listening to her week after week!

You know, I come from Podunk, Alabama, and I used to complain about lack of nightlife. There was only one club in town, and we went every single weekend, because there was nothing else to do. Now I feel incredibly guilty about all the times I said "I swear to God I am SO STINKING SICK of going to Sports Rock and listening to Bo Bice play the bleeping guitar I could kill myself!!!"

I sincerely apologize, and now I am happy that the rest of America gets to enjoy his music.

I totally agree! ugh. She will be another Carmen getting all the votes from young people. All the schools in her area will give her the vote. ugh again. If she sings a whole lot on the next album I'm not sure I will buy it!

I liked her--but I was thinking more like Nikki last night. Mikaylah was better in the beginning, but it sounds like her "young" voice is starting to tire from singing non-stop for all these weeks. I used to think Nikki sounded good and then each week it was just getting worse and worse. I never noticed Carmen's voice change a whole lot--more of a style problem with the genres where Mikayla's voice is starting to sound tired..does that make sense?

No WAY!!! Are you serious? So, all those weekends, how was he??? I'm assuming that what you see is what you get with him on TV, he just come across that way (and that's a good thing)

No big surprise for me, at least for the bottom two. Lindsey is gone but I have no idea how she made it as far as she did. Now we are left with at least one more week of the shrewish Mikalah. Help me. I wanted to go through the TV when she started mouthing off to Ryan.

I was surprise that Jessica was in the bottom 3 though. While, at first, I thought it would be Nikko, I realized that he'd get a lot of votes because don't we all like someone who's given a second chance? I guess enough folks did.

Starting next week I've voting for everyone except the person I want to be eliminated. The ones I like the most I'll vote for numerous times.

BTW, I really enjoyed the group song they did, well except for Lindsey and Mikalah's vocals. And I can't wait to hear about the single they're doing to benefit the Red Cross. That's a nice touch.

My theory is, if they were mixed (boys and girls) Nikko would have still been here and more girls would be gone, but since you HAD to pick 2 of each then he had to go.

I agree with this. I think the group of boys was just better overall.

I figured out why I like Constantine so much...it's not the eyes, it's not the hair. It's a combo of his height/build and the squinchy thing he does with his nose! Yeah, I know, I'm weird.

Innocent questions, please do not flame, but am honestly looking for answers from those of you who say you "like" Mikalah or have voted for her, since I absolutely do not get it...

Why in the world do you like her? What positive trait(s) do you see that the rest of us cannot? Do you think she's talented? If so, how so? Do you think she's not obnoxious? If so, in what way? Do you think she is not rude, snotty and argumentative?

Please help me understand it. I'm all for cheering for the underdog every once in awhile, but this girl annoys the HECK out of me.

Okay, I like her, but no, I haven't voted for her. I concentrate my votes on Constantine.

I think she's very outgoing, spunky, fun, stylish, and cute. I don't think she's that MUSICALLY talented (due to the nasally voice -- which could actually be a medical problem), but I think she's just made for show business.

I don't think she's rude, snotty or argumentative.

Everyone has different tastes; it's just the way it is. This year many like Mikalah and others can't stand her and don't get it. Simon said as much.

Last year it was the red-head, John. I loved him and voted for him till the end and I remember many a posts asking why? Are you deaf? etc...

It's just a matter of different tastes...

Scott is from my area and each week the local Fox affiliate is at their house. There are alot of family and friends supporting him.

I believe his parents are going out for tonights show. His dad has never flown before. His mom was doing an interview with the local station while on the phone voting for Scott!

He was a security guard at Home Depot before this.

I like him and hope he makes it to the next round!

I am so glad to read this! I really like Scott, my favorite, and felt horrible that he had no family support. My oldest DD and I voted SO MUCH for him the other night! I usually only vote once for my favorite but felt that Scott really needed it. I won't even tell anyone how much I called in for him. Let's just say I contributed heavily to the 30 million votes! LOL!

I never vote, but I really like Scott and im afraid that his looks will lose him some votes, so I have decided that im going to bite the bullet and start voting for him starting next week.

Is anyone else finding that their opinions of some of the contestants are changing the more you see/hear them?

During auditions I didn't like Constantine at all. Now I've definitely warmed up to him.

I thought Bo was pretty darn good during the auditions, but now I'm just not into him. Everything he sings sounds the same to me. And last night whereas everyone else showed some (even small) emotional reaction to being told they were safe, Bo's expression never changed. It was a "yeah, I know I'm staying" look.

I liked Mikalah early on - not so much for her voice but for her spunk. I especially liked her in Hollywood when the judges were talking during her song and she called them on it. When you think of it, it could be very devastating to think that the judges are just flat out ignorning you, but she demanded to be paid attention to without being whiney about it. But the more I hear of her, the less I like her singing. And she knows she's not as good as the other contestants. You can see it in her eyes every Wednesday - she's mentally packing her bags while she waits for the news.

Scott I wasn't too impressed with early on. I was glad that he got through just to show his dad, but didn't think he'd make it too far. Now I'm enjoying his performances, and I'm glad to see him infusing a bit of personality into them.

Anthony I really, really liked in audition and in the earlier performances, but most of his performances since then have been pretty bland. Which is unfortunate - he does have a good voice, I think he's just not sure how to use it.

And Anwar, who I really like and liked his audition, I've been a little disappointed with the last few times as well. He has such an excellent voice, and knows how to use it, but just isn't. He's picking songs that keep him in the same vocal range week after week.

I don't know if some of these contestants are thinking that they'll really "bring it on" during the last few weeks and show off their stuff, but if they are then that's really bad strategy. SOMEONE has to go every week. If you don't bring it on THIS week, you may not have a chance to do it next week.

in the chicago tribune newspaper over the weekend, one of the writers in the entertainment section did a piece on mikalah. he said she was the one destined to win the competition. he claims she has an awesome, talented voice. he thought she was the shining star in the group.


what do i know, i can't carry a tune, or hum for that matter.
my money is on the boys.......bo/constantine/scott.

It's totally personal taste. Why do some people like RAP or COUNTRY and some people can't stand it? Personal taste. Some (lots) of people love Elvis, personally, I can't stand him, never could. Personal taste!
