I think we are going to have to adjust that Mikalah percentage to about 75% can't stand her.. she grates on my nerves too and I still can't see where she is any better than people you see in Karoke bars.

I noticed Constatine looking bored in the audience too but did I see it wrong or did he stand up and give Nadia a huge ovation? I think he wasn't being stuck up, I think a lot of the song choices just were not his type of music and bored him. I was surprised at how some of the guys cheered on some of the women I thought did a horrid job. I think they may have been cheering on the short skirts instead..lol

Hmmmmm, what a difference between the guys and the girls. On Monday night, I saw 12 really talented people perform, last night I saw 1 really talented perform, and 2 that were above average. The rest were not up to par, not this year, anyway. Too bad that it has to be 6 girls and 6 guys, otherwise I'd vote for 11 guys and Carrie. I thought Nadia and Aloha were o.k., but neither were better than the worst of the guys.

Other than making it 10 guys, Carrie, and Nadia, I wouldn't change a thing about your post, Snoop I kind of liked Nadia's performance. At the very least it was entertaining, even if it didn't really "show off her vocals".

Count me in the camp that (1) thinks the guys did a much better job overall, and (2) can't stand Mikayla. Judging by this thread, I'd say that the percentage is well over 50 on that side of things. Did anybody actually find her performance appealing last night ?

Nope, my dh thought she was funny and had personality, but after she finished he said "I'm off her bandwagon!".

I still like Amanda best, she's just so darned cute and she can sing too. Carrie is obviously the judge's favorite, and with good reason. She can sing and she's got "the look". I liked Nadia.

Mikayla is annoying to me. She's energetic and has all the right moves to be in show business, but as an actress, not a singer please. DH also says she sounds like Fran Drescher and if there's one person he hates, it's Fran Drescher.

I think that as a whole they picked more attractive people this year. Some of the girls have faces like models, I didn't notice that as much last year. I also liked Nadia, Carrie, and Aloha the best. I think that Nadia is my number one fave! She really has a unique style, and voice. Carrie is so sweet, she reminds me of Kelly Clarkson. I bet she'll go really far cause she is so all American.

Mikayla, seems like she has ADD, or maybe it is just her youthful exuberance! She reminds me of a young Barbara Striesand.

Without question they picked alot of them on looks. Case in point, Constantine. If he wasn't so cute and appealing to girls, I doubt he would have gone this far. I do like him, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't have the "sound" that's typical AI material.

In the case of Carrie, she has the whole package, looks and the pipes. I really want her teeth.

I sensed something about Constantine, like he lacks the confidence, or feels insecure about being there. I wonder how far he will go? He is a good looking guy.

I think that Nadia has the whole package too. She is beautiful and can sing too. She also doesn't look as ordinary, or mainstream as some of the other 'pretty' ones. I think the masses prefer 'ordinary' to different, though. I guess we'll see what happens!

Loved Carrie's performance last night. I think she's got what it takes to win this thing. I was happy to see that it took several tries to get through.

I also voted for Melinda & Nadia. Got through on both the first try.

I am most definitely in the "hates Mikalah" category. Ugh, I just want to slap her.

My guess is Sarah & Celena go home tonight.

I have to agree! I had thought she was funny before last night and I'm pretty sure she was chosen because of her exuberance. But - imho, it has backfired on her to the point of annoyance.

I loved Carrie last night and also thought Vonzell and Nadia were good. I was lol about Simon's "pick-up" line. I am still really trying to figure out if he meant what I think he meant.

I actually like Mikayla (or however her name is spelled) - one thing she's got going for her - she's being REMEMBERED. Out of the 12 performances last night, I can only remember about 4 of them, so that's saying something. She at least has some presence, even if it is a bit annoying to some. Maybe she'll listen to what Simon said last night, and tone it down a bit.

Carrie, Nadia, Aloha & Mikayla are the only performances I can remember without looking at what other people wrote. The others? *Yawn*

i am so glad that i am not the only one! i was just telling DH this morning that she's got such a pretty smile...i would love to have her smile!

i'm still sticking to my original picks of carrie and anthony. don't know if anthony will go quite as far as i had originally thought, but i still like him

Did anyone else notice how these girls were standing? Clonking around like little girls in high heels. With their feet planted shoulder-width apart, knees bent--they looked like cowhands in dresses! Someone needs to tell the girls that it's kinda slutty to stand on stage singing with their legs wide open--just looks nasty. That's Stage Presence 101,gals.

I noticed the same thing too. I found it particularly striking with Aloha, because of the dress she was wearing. At one point she looked to me like a pregnant woman whose water had just broken! Knees bent, legs apart, leaning forward slightly, poofy dress that didn't show her form at all and kind of ballooned out in the front when she leaned forward...

she also needs to get over the "prom date" joke with Simon. It was funny the first time but it is getting old.......

I don't hate her it is just that she annoys the heck out of me. ugh

My kids were saying that she "needs chapstick real bad" (from Napolean Dynamite!)
