"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

I actually go every year for Labor Day weekend (mostly to avoid the big parade/festival at home) and compared to other holidays it's really not bad. Most kids outside the NE have gone back to school and parents don't want to take them out so close to the start of the year. So MK tends to be light even on nonparty days. Only Epcot tends to be a little iffy but I definitely expect that dynamic to be worse this year with F&W starting. My usual strategy is to rope drop a party day at MK and then hop to Epcot in the evening, Friday nights there are busier but you tend not to get that "element" that shows up on Saturday nights at F&W, from my experience. I feel like all bets are off with that now. I have to imagine the D23 folks are mostly going to be busy with con events (main reason I opted against going, I let my Gold membership lapse and didn't see the value in renewing just to go to this when I mainly want to be in the parks).

Maybe I will just treat it as a normal day of rope drop touring with a much longer midday break and go to the party in the evening. I attempted that one year at the Dolphin which really didn't work too well, but staying my first couple of nights at CR this time feels like it will make that easier.
Well, it's not normally a crowded weekend as far as holiday weekends go, if that helps at all.
That is good to know. I figured it may be slower since the heat is horrible and it has the potential for rain

Weather is definitely a factor. Potential for hurricane impacts, which is why I always rec travel insurance. But washouts are a lot more likely at the August parties and with fewer in the week it can be a bit trickier to make up for one in your trip, so there's that to consider. Knocking on wood I haven't had one yet during that weekend but it's definitely a possibility to prepare for.

But, it's also Florida...I went to a MVMCP in November one year that turned out to be a washout!

kind of disappointed, have a trip planned at end of september, but wasnt planning on doing a party, was hoping it would be open in general by that time.

That is SO me right now. We had a disaster of a party last year in August with torrential rain and I swore I would never buy tickets for an August party again with the weather being so unpredictable then. But now I have FOMO!
My story, as well. I have been dumped on multiple times, and I can’t do any other month. I may be able to resist this time around…

can't you ask for a refund due to weather?

I’ve went on Halloween the past two years and plan on doing the same this year. The weather was actually pretty nice the past two years… I’m hoping it is this year as well. I also like to do the desert party.

Not without some pixie dust. From the T&C:

*Tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable and may not be resold. The number of tickets available is limited and tickets are valid only for the specific event date and hours. Entertainment may be cancelled due to inclement weather or otherwise. No refunds even if entertainment is cancelled. All attractions, experiences, entertainment and event elements are subject to restrictions, change or cancellation without notice.

I vaguely recall that folks were able to reschedule to a different date, and presumably an unused one can be applied to a new theme park ticket/pass.

I don’t know about this, the value of Jollywood unused tickets I bought two years ago could only be used to purchase Jollywood tickets.

Edited to add: I was specifically told the value couldn’t be used toward the purchase of Enchanting Extras or applied to park tickets. Perhaps the value could have been applied to tickets for MVMCP, but I didn’t ask about that.

I’m assuming that there will be either AP or DVC discounts on tickets? Has anyone seen mention?

I just wish you could buy discounted party tickets for family for nights when you aren’t traveling with them. My sister and her family are going to WDW end of August, staying on my DVC points, and they’re on a tight budget. I’d love to be able to hook them up with discounted party tickets, but I’m not with them on that trip, I’m there the week before.

Yes, $10 per ticket for select August and September parties.

We’re booked at BLT for Aug 15. Was hoping that’d be the 2nd week of it, not opening night. We’ve (4 kids under 8 😄) never been… hoping to ride rides mostly… what should we expect?! I imagine the vloggers will be covering the new bar, parade, characters, and cupcakes…

I'd like to see a menu first! We're not big drinkers but would be enticed by appealing snacks

I can see the range of ticket pricing from 119 to $229, but is there a specific list of prices for each date anywhere?

They did miss the Sunday 8/24 party. Their hours has MK open until 11 that day. Party days have a 6pm closing time.
On a related note...Touring Plans has Magic Kingdom closing at 7 PM on Thu, Aug 21st which does not have a MNSSHP. Does anyone know of a special event that might be happening? I can't imagine that with the new parade they would want MK to have an extra night without Starlight and HEA that week. But, stranger things have happened...

No clue. That wasn't a planned MK day for me since I have Epcot AH that day, so I haven't delved into it.

Might be a private event.

Not that my company would ever splurge like that....
