"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Sorry for those who were hoping for party dates in early August.
Ugh! I have to extend our stay by 1 night if we want to go. I was counting on it starting a few days earlier like last year. Originally, we were planning to fly home on Aug 15th, but will need to extend and fly home on the 16th if we want to go. Also, wasn't planning on going the first party. Anyone attend the first party in the past? How was it? I'm worried it will be overcrowded with "influencers" trying to be the first to post about it. That sounds annoying to me.

Look at a few pages back, several folks chimed in with their experiences from the first party. Some thought it didn't make a difference, others found the influencers annoying

Hi
I was curious, does anyone know are these refundable tickets, if you cancel say a month or so before the date ?

Hmm... Now to decide. There are 2 during my trip - the 22nd would be a third special event night in a row (Studios AH on the 20, Epcot AH on the 21st), the 24th would be the night before my cruise...but either one would cut into an Animal Kingdom day. Decisions, decisions.
same! Except there are 3 dates that fall during my trip. Aug 15, 17 and 19. Trying to decide between the 15th or the 17th. We fly home on the 20th and will have an early-ish pick up so I don't want to go the party that night.

I doubt very highly they're refundable. If you had a medical reason perhaps they'd give you a future credit, but straight out refund? Nah.

Ugh I think we’ve reached the cutoff price for our family :( If it was truly a ghost town (no pun intended) with non-existent waits, or was more After Hours Style w free popcorn and ice cream, I could trick myself into thinking it’s worth the cost. But we’re there for race weekend which means highest price for tickets + almost guaranteed capacity sellout.

Well it didnt fall on my dates, we fly out the day of the party. Seeing Jack Skellington the way he should look might be worth changing my flight! Super excited for his update!

Interesting that there's no actual party on Labor Day this year. That's a usual exception to the Tues/Friday/Sunday rule that generally goes in mid-September. It kinda bones me too. My usual plan is to do regular MK touring on a Friday party day but then actually go to the party on the next night it's offered. But it looks like I only have the option of 8/29 unless I extend my trip one more day so I can go to the 9/2 party (I go home on 9/2).

Did they list the price range on the Disney Parks Blog? I see it mentioned here but didn’t see it in their announcement?

Nevermind - I found it on the WDW website.

I was pretty miserable when I went in 2024 (September). We have a cruise out of PCAN that starts on Oct 25th and I thought, for a brief moment, about getting tickets for Oct 24th. Remembering how overcrowded it was, and now looking at those insane prices, I'm good. I can save money and go to F&W instead.

FYI for 8/29

This will be during Destination D23 at Coronado Springs. This date may sell out a little faster than others just from the presence of the extra high-affinity fans attending the D23 event. (Though I still don't expect it to sell out right away, the Coronado convention center isn't that big). This is also when we'll be going since we're there for Destination D23 as well.

I know. It's why I'm dreading it. Between this and F&W starting I'm not looking forward to the crowds.

And a holiday weekend to top it off. We booked a trip based of DVC Moonlight Magic on 09/01 and didnt even realize all these other things were happening.

I actually go every year for Labor Day weekend (mostly to avoid the big parade/festival at home) and compared to other holidays it's really not bad. Most kids outside the NE have gone back to school and parents don't want to take them out so close to the start of the year. So MK tends to be light even on nonparty days. Only Epcot tends to be a little iffy but I definitely expect that dynamic to be worse this year with F&W starting. My usual strategy is to rope drop a party day at MK and then hop to Epcot in the evening, Friday nights there are busier but you tend not to get that "element" that shows up on Saturday nights at F&W, from my experience. I feel like all bets are off with that now. I have to imagine the D23 folks are mostly going to be busy with con events (main reason I opted against going, I let my Gold membership lapse and didn't see the value in renewing just to go to this when I mainly want to be in the parks).

Maybe I will just treat it as a normal day of rope drop touring with a much longer midday break and go to the party in the evening. I attempted that one year at the Dolphin which really didn't work too well, but staying my first couple of nights at CR this time feels like it will make that easier.
