Today is Halfway to Halloween! Hoping for some news soon!
I think it's too late today, but hopefully tomorrow! They didn't announce until May 6 last year.

Today is Halfway to Halloween! Hoping for some news soon!
Really hoping Friday Aug 8 is the first Halloween Party!! We are there 6-9 before we head out on the Treasure! Pretty sure first one sells out quick. So we have a trip early August. We are big into Halloween but to our jobs summer is really the only time we can travel. So we've always wanted to do the party and now it seems like the first party date should work if it matches last year's calendar.
I see that the first day is more expensive. Does that date sell out quickly? Is day one not a great day to go? Outside of celebrating Halloween about 3 months early is a little off, but I don't think I want to let the opportunity to do Halloween at Disney slip away no matter how hot it is!
Final question, I swear. I bought the discounted kids tickets offer before I knew this could be possible. 3 day tickets (mom, dad, two boys 6 and 4). MK is one of the parks we were planning on. Is it a waste or good idea to do it same day as the party and stay for the party? Thanks!!
Where is the best place to check for the announcement?I think it's too late today, but hopefully tomorrow! They didn't announce until May 6 last year.![]()
Disney Parks Blog will likely make the official announcement but the information will be everywhere, including here and post 1 of this thread will also be updated.Where is the best place to check for the announcement?
The first night of the party usually has a ton of vloggers, bloggers and media. That is generally why it's more expensive. It will likely be a bit more on the crowded side.So we have a trip early August. We are big into Halloween but to our jobs summer is really the only time we can travel. Actually we have done MK on the day of a party and found that although the park closed at 6pm to day guests it was way less crowded than a non-party day so if you don’t mind the shortened day it’s a good day to do MK.The first night of the party usually has a ton of vloggers, bloggers and media. While I've only done the Christmas party, I'd say that it's not the best idea to do a park day on the same day as a party day. But if you want to do MK all day and then do the party - make sure your next day is a sleep - in / relax day.![]()
Yes. I was just thinking it would be a very long day to do MK during the day and the party at night - when the poster has a 4 & 6 year old.Actually we have done MK on the day of a party and found that although the park closed at 6pm to day guests it was way less crowded than a non-party day so if you don’t mind the shortened day it’s a good day to do MK.
Can your kids handle going all day? At 4 or 6, my DD was done by 6 pm. We usually go to MK from 7:30-2 on a party day and knock out tons of rides before the party crowds arrive. We have done that plus a hotel break and 9 pm Epcot fireworks. You know your family best, but keep the heat in mind.So we have a trip early August. With the heat, and kids those ages, I would not do a full MK day and the party on the same day. My kids were usually done by about 4pm when they were that age and we don't go when it's that hot. They're 12 and 9 now and still can't do a true full day (rope drop to close) without a decent afternoon break. So we have a trip early August. Iv said to myself I will only go this year if Disney make some big changes.
Been way to similar last 3/4 years so updates would be good.
After reading all of the posts about lower crowds on party dates, we arrived at the MK at 10AM and while we had a great day, we did not experience low crowd levels. It was very similar to a normal day. Having said that we are likely going to give it a shot again this year. It does make for a long day so we tried it early in the week for the first party we went to that trip.So we have a trip early August.
