Sounds like a good plan! What is Sean/Dolphin Food & Wine? Are there details somewhere?

The Swan/Dolphin Food & Wine is for two nights - Nov 15-16 - and fully on the promenade walkway area outside the hotels. It runs from 5:30-9:30pm each night and for one price, you can eat and drink as much as you want. There are food and beverage tables offering some pretty interesting dishes:

Is there any benefit of having a Magic Band+ if you're only going to MVMCP?
We’ll be staying at the Dolphin and doing some holiday resort hopping and dining, Disney Springs, JN & MVMCP. It’s been so long since we have been to WDW that we have never used the bands, but I know they can be cool. What specifically would be cool for MVMCP?
Talk me into it.

I read on a website last year that someone did an estimate and figured that Disney sold approx. 10,000 tickets for each day of both the Halloween and Christmas parties. How they got this number, I don't know, especially when they don't release that information publicly.

I have a feeling the first week of December is going to be especially busy this yeae 😔
The first week of December has gotten busier pretty much every year since 2015. People often piggy-back Thanksgiving weekend onto their trip or wait until the Thanksgiving crowds die down and then go. For years, bloggers and travel agents said the first weeks of December are low crowds and they still do now for some reason.
We go every December, and find that the second week in December is actually better than the first in terms of crowds.

Got my MVMCP ticket today for 12/5…site said it was sold out but Disney tickets said they still had a few left - so I bought one. I passed on Jollywood - too expensive for what I’d get out of it as I don’t drink or do character meet and greets…

THANK YOU for sharing this!! I had wanted 12/5 but when it showed as sold out I bought 12/8 instead. When I saw your comment I called Disney ticketing right away and they did still have 12/5 available! Was able to make the switch. Worth a call if the night you wanted sells out!!

has anyone done the fireworks dessert party, specifically the plaza garden standing one? Debating on booking it, but not sure on the timing, etc. Any tips or recommendations (or recommending against it?)

We do it every trip. I HATE crowds so this is my saving grace. My daughters love the desserts and I enjoy the wine. Highly recommend if you don’t want to stake out a spot for the fireworks. Oh, and get to the Tomorrowland terrace early to check in and pick your table and you’re free to exit and go do rides until the fireworks start!

I have never done a party before. It will be me, my wife, sister, and my 18 month old.

Does this plan sound feasible or like I am cramming too much into the party? This is our only night at the parks as we are adding it to a cruise vacation.

Times next to the ride are when I think we HAVE to be on to the next part by.

If I'm reading correctly you are trying for Peter Pan, Small World and Haunted Mansion between 5 and 7? I worry the lines for rides may still be long before party officially starts at 7? Day guests will still be in line too.

Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in!

That is the hope. Want to get the things the kid can do done before she falls asleep and is out.

So when we went last year the line for Pan was still long between 4-7pm because the regular park guests were still there and can enter the queue before the party starts.

My 2yr old at the time napped in the stroller and we got on Pan around 9pm or so and there was no line. I would def recommend hitting during the actual party as the lines were nearly non-existent beyond 7 dwarfs and Space Mountain.

Where are you watching the parade from? Remember if you're on Main Street, it will take 15 min before it gets to you (so 8:30 parade start will really be 8:45 start).

(Also, I love touring plans for helping to game out stuff like this. It's not perfect, but really helps)

I just got so lucky. I remembered we hadn’t booked our tickets for 12/3 (the only day we can go). I went to checkout and they sold out while I was checking out. I called and they were able to finish the transaction and they showed sold out on the website by the time I hung up. My daughter would have been so bummed if we missed this tradition.

Buy your tickets soon if you have a date in mind!
plus hurricane makeup trips

We will already be in the park as we have APs (will be arriving around lunchtime). Is there anywhere close to the Jack & Sally meet and greet to pick up wristbands if already in the park? If they do not start handing them out in the park until 4, aren’t you at a massive disadvantage for meeting Jack & Sally than people entering the park at 4. Any good strategies we should follow?
