Has anyone gone on Space Mountain with the overlay this year? Last year they had everything turned off except the tower lights at the top on which allowed you to see a lot more than you usually do. Is it the same this year or is it in complete darkness again?

We rode it a couple of weeks ago and I couldn’t see anything.

Have been attending MNSSHP since 2016 and can honestly say last night (09/13) was the best party I’ve ever been to. Arrived just after 4 and had no delay getting through the tapstyles and into MK for a quick snack of cheeseburger egg rolls, meeting all four princesses at PFTH, and seeing philharmagic before the party started.

Got in line for Mirabel & Bruno at 6:00, met them shortly before 7:00 and well worth the wait, they were so much fun! They were meeting guests when I got in line and looked like they had been meeting for quite some time given the amount of people inside the fairytale garden but don’t know when exactly that began. Also met Alice & Mad Hatter at some point in the night, and got to see Maleficent and Evil Queen up close at PFTH which was very cool and I’m glad Disney added them to these treat trails.

As far as rides go, was able to do Peoplemover, Space Mountain, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Pirates, 7DMT, Dumbo, BTMRR throughout the party. Felt like a LOT when combined with everything else I did.

Sooooo many treat trails, I think I hit every one of them. Lines started disappearing for them around 9 and by 11 I was walking up to every single bucket. Had a lot of fun asking CMs what their bats were named (best were Batyonce, Neil Batrick Harris, Batney Spears, and Battry Styles. Had a lovely CM from Philadelphia ask me to name her bat for her and I suggested Gritty.)

Had two treats throughout the night, the halloween ice cream sandwich from the plaza and the MNSSHP exclusive pumpkin smores latte from joffreys revive in tomorrowland. Both very, very good!

Left at 11:30 with no regrets. The vibes were very good and CMs were having a lot of fun! Sad to be leaving (with a carry on full of candy) today.

100% agree - to be fair to both groups!!!

People in the DCL groups on FB are reporting the sipper/buckets are also being sold on the Halloween sailings so I’m skipping the craziness at the parks entirely. I hit my limit for merch lines during paid events when I spent an hour of Villains After Hours in the line to get into Memento Mori to get HM anniversary merch that just ended up online anyway. I will just wait to get it on the ship and if I don’t get it there then whatever. I’m not flipping my taquito anymore over yet another plastic thing that will just collect dust on my shelf, no matter how cute it is.

This merch frenzy nonsense has got to be the worst thing about modern day Disney tbh.

Quick question about the photo passes on Main Street…every year we wait until the end-ish of the party to do these and usually have to wait because the photographers get pulled for shows/parades/fireworks. I am determined to not make that mistake again. Which shows/parades/fireworks will they get pulled off Main Street for?

Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2024

Thanks. I saw them last year, but this reminds me that the projections are much more important to the story, and the fireworks are almost incidental. Having watched, I may skip them this time around!

It's been several years since my last MNSSHP. Can someone please remind me, does Disney give out bags to use for the treat stations or do we need to bring our own?
Thanks!

They give you a small bag. But you need to bring like a back pack with large baggies to dump it into from time to time as the small bag doesnt fit much and you can get alot of candy. Heck, at the end of the night, one go around fills half the bag and at some point some of them just start filling your bag.

Definitely bring extra bags or a backpack. Sunday we only hit 5 trick or treat spots near the end of the night and ended up with three ziplock gallon bags full for our family of 3.

I'm not seeing a calendar - sold out or otherwise - on the Disney site for any MNSSHP -

does that mean that all nights are sold out ?

I'm confused. Is the scary Teddy popcorn bucket only sold at one of the popcorn stands in the hub or both of them?
