Agree with this 100%! We tried to eat dinner at our first MNSSHP(2018) at Cosmic Rays, but the lines were so long the meal took over an hour. Very valuable time lost. This is our first MVMCP, and we have a 445pm res at BOG for a late lunch/early dinner before the party. Leaves plenty of time to eat cookies and holiday treats!

We also love early dinner in the park with a reservation (have done Tony's and going to do Liberty Tree Tavern)... and be out before Party starts. No fighting for Quick Service table, not hungry... so plenty of time later in the evening to eat cookies and have some hot chocolate.

So glad to hear others have the same idea, eat early and have plenty of room for cookies and special treats. This is our first party too and I have a 4:15 ADR at LTT, I have been on the fence about keeping it but now I think I will!

Delight in new additions to commemorate the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration.

These additions include:

  • 3 new interactive photo locations inviting you to step right into a very merry scene that can double as your holiday card
  • Commemorative 50th Anniversary holiday-themed keepsake
Do we know where this photo op might be located, the one that can double as a holiday card? We are going to an early enough party (11/15) that I may be able to pull this off as our xmas card! I told my family that my only wish was that we all dressed holiday/festive for the party for something just like this!

As of now no info. I update post #1 as info is released. In past years, if not posted on Disney Parks Blog in advance, you had to wait until people posted after the first party.

I don’t know why, but I was way more hyped for the Halloween party than this one. I guess maybe Christmas hasn’t set in for me yet

Our party day is Thursday, 11/10 (so excited!!). Anyway, even though it's early I'm seeing rain in the forecast. Any tips to still make it a magical night in the rain if it does rain? I'm going to make the best of it either way but am hoping to keep my kids as dry/comfortable as possible so we can enjoy to the fullest.

We lucked out for MNSSHP with no rain, but came prepared... my biggest beef is wet feet/socks. Some people wear quick dry sandals/crocs, but I like socks. We got some shoe covers, and then put extra socks in our backpack; didn't have to test it, but I got the idea from others who had to and they recommended it. We also had disposable (cheap but big) ponchos that could go over our backpack - could then toss if rain passed - we've done this before during the day and it worked well.

NOTE:

As parties are filling up, this is just a reminder that Disney party tickets are non-transferrable and DISboards does not allow members to post requests to sell/purchase tickets.

To all going to the early parties, someone please post photos of the party brochure/map (laying flat if possible) for the crazy pre-planner in me. I love to do a circle and arrow markup on a copy ahead of time. TIA

I’m sick to my stomach writing this :(

Like nauseous. We have to cancel. My husband is a double leg amputee and is having mega problems with his prosthetics
He got new ones yesterday And they are not going to work for the mileage he puts on at a Disney park :(
I’m gutted

So we have a ton of ADRs (from 11/12-11/22) to cancel
A treats and seats
And…a Christmas party for 5 to cancel!

For medical reasons will Disney give us a credit for our Christmas party tickets?

This is crazy
We ARE rescheduling for the spring. So I will still be able to follow this dream. But in the meantime I feel like I’ve been punched in the gut

Edit to ask opinions on 4/1/23-4/11/23 or 4/8/23-4/18/23

Oh no. Priorities though. It is ok. Really. *deep breathe* God bless with everything.
Find some other ways to bring DIsney magic home in the mean time.

recommend 4/1 dates.

Oh no! I can only imagine how stressful this all is!

I would 100% call Disney directly to ask about refunding the Christmas party tickets, I think they are noted as not transferable and non refundable on the website but it can't hurt to call and talk to a cast member about your specific situation.

If you have not dropped the ADRs yet, you might want to post them in case someone wants to snag them?
