MNSSHP tickets allow park entry starting at 4pm (2pm for DVC Blue Card holders, assuming they offer that benefit again this year)

I was actually thinking the opposite...that more people might hold off on buying tickets until last minute because of Coronavirus fears and how it could impact travel plans over the next few months.

This is what we are doing. We are still planning as normal but just not buying anything that is not refundable at this time. When we know for what is going on with the virus we will decide if we go or not and if we are will buy tickets then.

I know but we may make the choice not go even if the parks are open. We are going with my parents who are older. We just do know right now what we are looking at for that time. We may not want to risk my parents health over a vacation. We won't make a decision until about 45 days out. This may all be gone by then. Who knows. That is why we are still planning on going right now but cautiously watching what happens.

We're waiting to buy our tickets too. There ae two parties while we're there and neither is likely to sell out.

Makes sense. There is really no rush to buy these tickets, they don’t sell out that far in advance.

Search is failing me, so apologies if this was already covered, but when you book a hard ticket item like this, if you want to enter the park leveraging the early access, how do you make sure they don't use up one of your multi-day park days? We've got a trip booked with 4 day PH+, with plans to take a couple of non-park days for doing some +stuff. If we align a non-park day with a hard ticket, and try to get in after 4 but before 6, is there a possibility of accidentally loosing a park day because we have them available, and it's within the park's operating hours?

There are special lines for the party entrance. Just be sure to use those lanes.

Thanks, we haven't booked one yet, but it's something to think about. Tacking this onto a waterpark day seems like a good way to spend the day to me, just need to convince the rest of the family.

You won't have to worry about it. On party days, they send party guests through dedicated tapstiles that only read the party tickets. We have done this 3 years in a row, always attending a party on a non-park day. There is no chance they will read the wrong ticket unless you try entering the parks using a tapstile that isn't dedicated to party ticket holders.

I guess it depends on ur energy level/endurance but will freely admit that between all those stairs to the WP slides and adrenaline flowing, I’m usually in bed early those days lol

we tend to do a park late the evening prior, sleep in (a rare treat at Disney park), hit the nearly empty AM resort pool & relax. Early afternoon, get prepared for party and either grab a meal offsite or book CP for late lunch

FYI we put kids costumes in the empty ‘candy’ book bags. Have them ‘overdress’ their regular park clothes for cute pics during the meal

off they go, back into book bag until after 6 pm. It’s always been hot & sticky for our party dates. Feel bad, see so many utterly miserable looking kids in full, heavy costumes in heat of the day pre party

Yes. They give you smallish bags. But we find it easier to bring one or two bigger, sturdier bags.

This. The bags they give you are like small gift bags. I like to bring a tote bag so I can use the shoulder straps. A reusable Halloween themed grocery bag would work well also. Bring a big ziploc bag to put in the bag to keep your candy dry on rides and if it rains.

I hope the party pass is offered again. We went to 10 parties. Only twice did we stay for the whole party. It was nice to be able to come and go.

And I really liked those Hades nachos, Lot-so Burger, and the wedding cake. Hope they are back too!

I went to the first party in 2019 and 2018.

We don't know that it's "terribly crowded with bloggers" because when you see someone, you don't know whether or not they are a blogger. We only know that it is sold out and assume there are a lot of bloggers there.

I think rides are always hit or miss. There are always people posting that the ride lines were short and other people posting that the ride lines were long. If a ride goes down, that throws things off because lines get long at other rides.

I am not a ride person, so I did not do rides during either party. If my big concern was rides, I have heard that the Disney After Hours parties have shorter ride lines; I have not attended any of those so I do not have first-hand knowledge.

At the first party last year I watched the fireworks from near Splash Mountain. It was not crowded there, but I could not see the projections. If you want to see the projections on the castle during the first party, I think you will need to be close to the castle and have to wait a long time where you are crammed in like sardines.

I got my two teens tickets (will be 14/18) bif am still debating on myself and the littles ( 6/8) we did the MVMCP in dec and it wasn’t a park day and they were dragging by the end . Not sure with the heat and it being our first of 7 park days if it would be too much. Sigh .. decisions of a parent ( tho the next day is a non park day )

when do they usually sell out ? It’s a Friday in Aug. the 21 I believe it
