"Official" 2020 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - Poor Unfortunate Souls (2020 MNSSHP CANCELLED)

My predicted Halloween party date was off (darn that late Labor Day!) and is throwing off my plans because I was hoping for a 9/8 party, which didn't happen. So since I have to pivot our trip plans a bit, does anyone have any idea about whether a Friday or Sunday party is likely to have lower crowds?

I am going to have my 8 month old son with us and want to book the dessert party. Should I just book for the adults online or do I need to call and indicate that we will have an infant with us?

I want to go that day too! Just waiting for shades of green to get their tickets so I can save a little bit of money. I can't wait!
Does SOG offer a discounted price or is it just saving the tax? Any idea how soon after release they will sell military tickets? Sorry for all the questions I'm just excited and hoping for info! LOL

I was considering getting the party pass but... did it really not come out until August last year? I'm just going off the dates of blog posts but that seems really late. Not sure I can hold out that long. :headache:

Just wanted to confirm a PP’s comment. I bought the party pass last year and could use the cost of the ticket I had already bought at the time towards the purchase. Was very easy.

Thank you!
We will be going down for other regular park days too, and I planned to get the Military salute tickets, but was just going to have Dh pick them up at ITT on base--but I guess if I'll be paying the shipping fee anyway, I might as well just get them through Shades of Green; at least they will already be activated that way :)

Thank you very much for the help!

You are very welcome! We used to get tickets at our ITT office, but once I started ordering them from SoG several years ago, we haven't looked back. So easy, and not having to activate is a nice bonus.

You include him in your reservation for the party online. When it asks the age, you will be putting infant, and will not be charged.

Last year, the military discount varied by date, from $0 to $15. SoG should be releasing that info within the next couple weeks.

Just a reminder for folks....

The Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party at MK now includes beer/wine, and it looks like from the description this will continue for the MNSSP Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/d...fireworks-dessert-party-tomorrowland-terrace/

The Plaza Garden Viewing Dessert Party at MK does not include beer/wine, and it looks like from the description this will also be the case at the MNSSHP Plaza Garden Viewing Dessert Party: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/d...pooky-spectacular-dessert-party-plaza-garden/

For thread regulars, no mention on either party’s webpage about parade viewing. :lmao:

Being packed in the hub like a sardine on a hot steamy night, waiting for the fireworks, in your full on Halloween costume designed for trick or treating way up north (which seemed like a good idea at the time) comes to mind. Lol.

Cool - I'll just watch them as I'm walking from Peter Pan on my way to Space Mountain. Let them pack in the hub!

I’m thinking the fact that the party pass was not offered for MVMCP may mean it’s not coming back at all this year. Otherwise, why not release it now?

I don’t think they like to advertise it now because it’s a bit of a turn off for people purchasing tickets ahead of time. People were soured on the fact that those with the passes could attend even sold out parties and make the crowd levels at non sold out parties unpredictable.

I think it will be announced the day of the first party like last year. And I think there will be a significant price increase. I predict it will go up from $299 to $399 this year.

I was going to post the same thing yesterday, but opted to leave it alone. But I agree with you (although was thinking $499).

Unless the party pass turns out to just be one of the many Fall 2019 "throw the kitchen sink out there" things to get people in the parks in the wake of what was rumored to be depressed bookings last Fall due to the two-phased opening of SWGE or whatever narrative one believes. Remember they released both MNSSHP and MVMCP dates way early, they had that massive run of EEMHs, lots of hotel discounts, extended free dining, etc, all sorts of things to drive attendance/bookings.

Going to the 9/1 party, how soon should we buy tickets? We might need to cancel our trip so I don't want to waste 220 bucks. Will know in early July if we are going or not, so is that fine?

Most parties (with some exceptions) won't sell out until day of, or much closer to the date (if they in fact do sell out). With your date, I personally don't think there should be any rush to buy tickets until you're more in the zone of where you know you'll go.

Thanks, yeah was just worried on how it would be, we went to MVMCP last year on the first night and it sold out a month previous so thats why it got me anxious. Hopefully we should be fine!

Yeah, first party nights, Halloween (and they days around it), Columbus Day weekend, and similar - those are dates where one should be more concerned. While it's hard to speak in absolutes on a topic that is inherently variable, most "average" other party dates won't see sell outs materially far in advance.

Yeah, I will know in July or possibly even earlier. This year seems tricky as the labor day holiday falls late and therefore wondering if that makes it better or worse for me haha. Hoping its a low crowd day! But even so, we've been to multiple sold out parties and have no issue at all doing everything. This will be our first Halloween party, so hoping they don't release that party pass, heard that was a nightmare for crowds!
