"Official" 2018 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Holiday Magic

I pretty much completely reworked my Epcot morning to accommodate Ralph and Vanellope, can't wait to meet them! I am urging my family to go to HS EMH for the sole purpose of getting another Slinky Dog ride in and to meet the characters in holiday attire. The EMM sold out our week before I really considered it. All these additions are great, but really make my brain think hard after we already planned dining and park days so long ago. It is always a puzzle I love to try and solve.

We are at EP 3x before they start their meet. It would be great if 1D early, it happens, b/c that would be EMH at night at EP. So to meet them on official start date, it would be in the evening, concerned about waits. Losing morning at EP with our coveted GG PPO ADR, but was leaving after riding TT & possibly Soarin' anyway then heading to HS.

I sadly think I will be cancelling my CP dining package. We have done it in the past and are not really familiar with the narrator on our night. I will probably put that extra money towards some other event and try my luck at standby.

We have the DDP, so not concerned about cost. Not thrilled about our narrator, typically pick date based on narrator. So I guess I'll just be excited with the choir and ambiance.

My MVMCP plans are 100% up in the air. I had dining that I thought would work, but am actively searching for new ADRs in the event Jack meets at 4:30 in TST similar to MNSSHP. I feel lazy when I recycle itineraries from one trip to another, but that day worked out so perfectly that I think I am going to have to replicate it.

As I wait for MVMCP news, I am waiting to see if I should purchase all the holiday items in my Shop Parks cart. I am afraid some of it will be gone by the time I get to WDW in December.

Hoping it makes a difference in November, week 2 of parties vs December.

I had the same exact plan, 4pm BoG! This would be our first time trying the new menu so I will have to wait and see.

If Sandy does come out early and you can get him and 7D by actual party time, I think you would be good for the rest of the night!

On the bright side, excited about party and being at WDW for Thanksgiving . I finally had to let go of the woe is my attitude, 1st world problems, since we won't be at WDW for Christmas this year . DH finally said no without really saying no. My issue with our December parties has always been sold out items, so I shouldn't have this problem in 16D. Ha!

I'm really ready to know about the treats, free and for purchase. Hoping Sandy Claws will be in TST. Curious about Christmas/MVMCP Popcorn bucket. Any new items, inquiring minds want to know? Hoping to have new Magic Shots, the new additions were awesome last year! Definitely ready to see Frozen A Holiday Wish!

Booked CP for our last night after dates were released, added an extra day for this. Going to move somethings around to meet Ralph & Vanellope. Going to meet Vampirina (DD10 & I still love Disney Jr. - yes, me!), even though we'll see her at H&V. Excited about H&V Minnie Seasonal Dine! Hoping HS has the Christmas Magic shots this year too. Doing EMM - TSL, so excited when extras days added last week that included our week & get to meet TS characters in Christmas attire without the long waits. Hoping the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Dessert Party is as wonderful as last year. Hope they add the holiday parts to the Frozen Sing Along. Plan on getting to DS early enough to meet Santa in the Christmas Tree Trail, or at least get a buzzer for a decent time, 3hr wait last year, umm, no.

What are you excited about? Plans?

Now that Ralph and Vanellope are going to Epcot, it’s going to mess with our schedules too. On one of our days, we have akershus at 8:05a and then I carved out time till our first FP starting at 11:00 am for Anna/Elsa and Joy/sadness. I am hoping maybe I can fit them in during that time too.... but that may be wishful thinking.

What attraction is the 11am FP+ (how far from Innoventions)? If you do it at the end of the hour window, that leaves you about 2.5 hours for 3 characters if breakfast takes 90 minutes. I think that should be doable.

It's been great doing this thread the past 2 years. Glad it has helped with your planning. Maybe I'll see you there, going on 11/16 too. Once I decide on what we're wearing, I'll post here. Yep, said no after calling yesterday, but still thinking about it. Just not over the one price for all which makes the DP more than the cost of our MVMCP tickets.

We're doing the shopDisney kids pj's cause we had a gift card...go figure!!! ‍‍‍ Totally agree on the cost/price structure!

Yet again, @monique5 with the info that makes me change our plans!!! First I had NO IDEA about Minnie's Seasonal Dine having CHRISTMAS OUTFITS until I read your post...thanks to Touring Plans Res Finder, got that for our party of six, and NOW, you tell me they added another EMM-TSL while we're there?!?!?!

We were there just after TSL opened this summer and they were opening HS an hour and a half early, so when they started the EMH, I was kind of bummed, and then I remembered it included breakfast!!! Luckily our HS day is an EMH day, so it didn't require any reworking. I am so sad we'll miss Ralph and Vanellope!

PREACH!!! Our DS3 just started getting into Handy Manny, but was too young to remember meeting Manny at H&V - they had the sweetest interaction. I am so sad he's not in the parks anymore!

No, I don't think they're replacing them - Ralph & Vannelope are meeting at Innoventions West. Baymax and Joy/Sadness meet at the Character Spot in the building across from that (sorry, i don't know what it's called).

After re-reading it I am unsure if they will stay in Innoventions West and a then a completely different new experience featuring them will also debut at the Imagination Pavillion?

I booked the JBJB dessert party, but then cancelled to add a night to our stay instead...I'd rather have an extra day, lol. The only thing I'm bummed about is a I'm betting all of the Christmas resort mugs will be gone by the time we get there on 12/15 But...that's a small thing, so yay for everything else!!!

I'm so excited to be there and soak in all the Disney Christmas magic. I love seeing the lights and decorations, and I'm excited to share that with my MIL who hasn't been to Disney since 1985. I'm excited to meet Ralph and Vanellope, see Alfonso Ribeiro at the CP, and see the special snacks they'll have at MVMCP. Oh, and I'm psyched DH said yes to the JBJB dessert party. It's my favorite dessert party ever!

We are arriving on the 15th as well AND going to CP on 17th too! We are doing the party on the 20th. I was going to do the 18th, but we have EMM on 19th so no way we could get up that early after party night. So excited! Its getting close.

I was so excited to buy tickets to MVMCP while I am at Disney. I just notice that it does not list many attractions open. I went a few years ago and there were a lot more opened. Will more be added to the list?

I am trying to be optimistic for an Xmas mug in early December. I was at BC 10/19 - 10/22 and it had the Halloween ones out the whole time. I will search high and low for them when I check-in!
