Magic Kingdom Closing Early November 5th, 2018

The Magic Kingdom is closing early on Monday, November 5th. The park is scheduled to close at 4:30 pm. This is in order for the Walt Disney World Resort to host their annual Cast Member recognition event. The Service Celebration event recognizes Cast Members celebrating 10 or more years of service. There is a special fireworks show scheduled for the event at 9:30 pm. This special show is for event guests only.

A blog I follow just posted a bunch of holiday pins.
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to that here.

Does anyone know how quickly they sell out? We will be there Dec. 8 (epcot) and 9 (xmas party)
I really like a bunch of them: xmas party, candlelight processional, festival of holidays, all so cute!

So excited for the Christmas party! We are going to the 12/18 party. We are watching the CP the night before - Gary Sinise is our narrator!! I booked the JBJB dessert party, but then cancelled to add a night to our stay instead...I'd rather have an extra day, lol. The only thing I'm bummed about is a I'm betting all of the Christmas resort mugs will be gone by the time we get there on 12/15 :( But...that's a small thing, so yay for everything else!!! :santa:

@catfan98 - Where did you see details about Christmas Resort Mugs? Thanks!

Typically they do not have Halloween and Christmas Resort Mugs. I know they have them for Halloween this year, but I haven't seen anything about Christmas themed ones.

You can post here. We would love to see images. OP posted some that's been added to Page 1. Are yours different? Thanks!:santa:

I was so excited to buy tickets to MVMCP while I am at Disney. I just notice that it does not list many attractions open. I went a few years ago and there were a lot more opened. Will more be added to the list?
I have not read thru 99 pages to see if someone has already asked/answered this so I am sorry if I am repeating a question.

There are notes on Post #1, stating about the 5 attractions, but the ones from last year are still there. Typically open attractions do not change unless refurb. Disney is slow on details this year.

In this post on the forums - I will say a CM told them, so it could possibly not be true, but it seems to be. I'm hoping it is and that there are still some at BW when we go!

Hi,
I’m torn about the dessert party addition to the party. Do you think it’s worth it? Does it allow us to see the 8:30 parade go by to? My5 year old son loves parades! And this would be our 1st. I booked Tony’s but honestly it’s really prices, very late and all the way by the front gates. Doesn’t seem very convenient.
You guys truly give the best advice.
Thank you!!!!

I'm torn as well. Both Terrace and Garden view are still available the night of my party and I am leaning towards Terrace because the parade (based on last year's map) is 8:30pm, and the party check-in begins at 9pm. Garden begins at 8:30, so there's an overlap.

It seems people are 50/50 on whether the fireworks parties are worth it during MVMCP because the crows are lower than on any given night, plus you get treats included in your party ticket. I'd love to read some more reviews from guests who did the party last year.

I totally agree. Not sure what to do.. Last summer we did the happily ever after plaza viewing area and we loved it! Was one of my favorite Disney moments ever! But do we do it for this party? Hmm
