Official 2017 Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend!

I made a hair appointment for this Sat so that my roots aren't front and center in my pictures. So now my focus turns to how red or brown I want my hair for my trip.

I may already have a little stack of clothes on my shelf not to be worn until my trip for fear of messing them up. #impatient

I just got in from our epic HS band/Dark Side trip at 3am this morning. I have had a lot of reading to catch up on. I saw a post that waivers had been released but I didn't get a chance to look at them until this morning. Corral B! Woo hoo!

We had a great time at Dark Side, my DD17 finished her first half. Now she is talking about challenges and coast to coast. I may have created a monster!

I can verify that the Dark Siders received both the Kessel and C2C medals this weekend.

As for the QOTW, I have preordered the pins and the Dooney tote. I am a little worried that I am going to fall in love with the Dooney crossbody and come home with that too! It's only our second DL trip so I am sure that I will be picking up some DL specific merchandise too. I won't be getting to the expo until Friday afternoon/evening so I don't know how fast race stuff might sell out.

Now to start unpacking and do laundry so that I can start packing again!

It's been totally addicting for my DD16. She started with runDisney 10ks but moved up to the 1/2s pretty quickly. She got her blue coast to coast this year by doing Lightside at DL in January and Princess at WDW in Feburary. She's going for her pink coast to coast and her first challenge with the Tink weekend coming up.

The bling is very addicting, lol.

The only thing that is preventing a coast to chateu plan for my dd is you have to be 18 to run the Paris 1/2 marathon. That gives me a few years to save.

Maybe I'm wrong here....but I don't think there was a speaker/lecture series at the Princess half? I was under the impression that they were doing away with them? But I could be wrong...

I could have sworn they DID have someone speaking - on the upper level of the J Center as we were leaving. But I can't remember for sure and can't find a speaker schedule, so I am not a reliable source. They definitely had speakers at the 2016 Tink expo.

I only did a quick run through at the expo. I was still on chaperone duty so I had to sneak out while they were at MK. I didn't notice if there was any. Sorry.

PS - Those cakes in your signature are crazy. Really incredible.

Thank you. It has been a few years since I have done any cakes. My kids don't eat cake, lol, and they are a crazy amount of work. I switched my Disney obsession to magic bands for a while, I painted the ones in my profile pic, but I have given that up too, since they have so many cute designs now. I need to find a new outlet for Disney art one of these days.

So I'm having dining res. anxiety. Hoping someone can calm my nerves.

I made a 10am Plaza Inn breakfast res. for Sunday after the half back when the ADR window opened. I don't know why I didn't do 10:30...but I've been stalking to bump it later and it's a sold out restaraunt so my question is.

As long as you show up within about 20 minutes or so of your reservation time they don't even bat an eye when you check in: they understand that theme park reservations are "guidelines" more than "rules". You can also send a member of your party ahead if you're really concerned. I have made an unfortunate art of showing up late to DL reservations and haven't been hosed on them yet, so you'll be fine.
