Thanks!! Actually, we really want to take our time and soak up all the Disney. I was wiling to submit a POT to get an earlier start so we could really take our time in the parks with character interaction, photo-ops, etc. For us, this one is for fun fun fun!

10K almost always sells out first since there are so few 10K bibs available (as most of the spots are taken up by challenge runners). Welcome!!

Awww, thank you!! I'm almost finished with the mother-daughters trip we did in January. I can't wait to see it in print!

If you log into Active and go to My Events, there's an option called Purchase Additional Merchandise where you can buy pins and whatnot. They will close it eventually though.

The online link for booking rooms just showed up. $349 Paradise Pier, $421 DL Hotel, $497 GC. Ugh.

Ugh is right. I was hoping for an awesome rate at the PPH. I'm booking $249/night at the DLH for Dapper Days in April, so I was really surprised to see these prices!

Just like this year, when this race (and the hotel rooms) don't sell out, they'll get released back to Disneyland about 4-6 weeks out. I think RunDisney's payment deadline for hotels for this race is Apr. 6, so I'll start stressing about an on-site hotel then.

Could the price go down by then?

Making this trip solo - my first to DL and my birthday weekend! Since staying on-site is not an option what are your favorite good neighbor hotels for race weekends? So far I'm torn between the BW Stoval, Hilton, Sheraton Park and Fairfield

I just books BW Stovall's. The rD rate was listed at $181.35, but I was able to get a room (I'm a BW Rewards member) for $157.50. Checking in Friday checking out Monday. This is for a 2 double bed room. The 2 queen rooms are sold out.

BW Stovall is my only experience from what you've listed. Been staying there the last few DL races I've done with a couple of friends. It's where we'll be again so I would definitely recommend it.

Great to hear! When you go from the room into the park, do you walk over to Harbor and go in through the pedestrian entrance? Or do you walk up and cut through the Grand Californian?

My sis has Quality Inn rewards so she booked us a room for the Quality Inn & Suites on Katella. She can cancel up to a week before I believe so now at least we have a place a stay. And then I will commence stalking of rates for the official hotels. If I see any dips in price on the official hotels, then I will alert everyone. And if we end up just staying with this room...that's just more expo money in my pocket

That's what I'm thinking with my BW Stovall's ressie. The price at PPH would have to go down pretty far at this point to get me to change. More trip money for us then. Thanks for stalking/alerting for us!

These are different from the pre-order pins that are on Active right now, whihc have the mascot characters on them (last year's 5K was Hook and Peter Pan, for example). They normally have extras of the pre-order pins at the expos as well.

I'm going to be unbearable as we lead up to reveals for this years stuff wondering what everything will look like (I don't mind the tink booty btw as someone who is 90% booty, but I can see where people wouldn't be into that, haha.)
Maybe I will just bite the bullet and do the jacket since it's possible to return it at the expo. Since everyone else will have a full days head start on merchandise. I think I have a little time to decide right?

@roxymama everyone gets anxious to see the merch - and it's your first half so I totally understand the excitement.

In the past they've allowed returns on pre-order stuff, but I could have sworn I read that they didn't at DL. Make sure to read the fine print. And keep in mind you need to pay Active.com fees when pre-ordering - if you return you don't get those fees back.

They will close the pre-order eventually, but I'm not sure when. They don't announce it or anything, the link just goes away.

Ok, really good things to know! I'd hate buying an expensive jacket for it not to fit and then being stuck with it. I don't mind the price if I know what I'm getting so maybe I will hold out for the expo. Decisions decisions.

I promise not to totally take over this thread!! One last thing (for now)...when will we know CheerSquad price and ability to sign up. I'd love for my sister to be able to do get special treatment since she's coming all the way from Texas. The rundisney link seems to not go anywhere related to an actual cheersquad package.

It was navy blue and had the logo. Sadly that's all I remember and it's sitting in my closet right now - I've only worn it once, since the summer has been warm and humid in Southern California. It's fitted, I'd suggest going up a size if you want something looser.

I just pulled up the photo I have on my phone, which only has the front: navy blue, the race weekend logo on the left pocket in blue and pink. I believe the back was the outline of Tink flying...I'll have to look now when I get home.
