For the moment, my plan is to reuse my Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi albeit with a blue lightsaber for the 10K (black pants, black tech shirt) and a BYU Jedi Knight (BYU apparel for the 1/2) with a blue lightsaber (BYU's school colors are dark royal blue and white). I may switch the 10K to Vader fanboy Kylo Ren (adding a Vader knit cap and Kylo's lightsaber instead of my blue one).

@Davidg83 was thinking about signing up for that 15k hot chocolate run, but now I'm so glad I didn't! Good luck!

Here's my outfits:

Plain black star wars for the 10k and R2D2 for the half. Might rethink the R2D2 shorts because the pockets might be too small for honey stingers.

Oh, totally forgot that I almost always wear a hat when I run. So I'll probably wear the Mickey Mouse hat that's in my avatar.

Looking forward to next week! I'm doing the 5 and 10, and DH is doing the Rebel Challenge.

I'm going as Hoth Leia, with white capris, white short-sleeved shirt, and white fleece vest. I imagine the vest will come off during the first mile, but that's fine. DH hasn't totally worked out his idea yet but I'm sure he'll come up with something. Nothing like waiting until the last minute!

With the WDW half getting canceled, my attention is turning towards next week. I love DL races, ran the inaugural half, and looking forward to the challenge next week. I'm going to do Jyn Erso for the 10K and I was going to recycle Rey from 2016 Dark Side Half, but with Carrie Fisher's death I feel I need to pay tribute to Leia. So I'm throwing together a last-minute Endor Leia costume, with pieces from previous race and from my very last Star Wars Weekends cosplay. Getting excited about running in cooler weather next week!

The past few minutes I've been giving consideration to a costume change for the 10K. Before I decide, I want to test if people will know what my costume is. All I will say is that the costume is a Disney and Star Wars mashup. I ran in a variant of if for the 2012 Wine & Dine 1/2 where this photo is from. All that will change for my 10K costume will be black pants and I'll have a lightsaber. The red thing you see in the photo is a cape.

So fellow runners, would you recognize this Disney and Star Wars mashup or do my costuming skills need a lot of work? Be honest. My feelings won't be hurt.

I cannot tell what your costume is - part of it seems like Darth Vader and for some reason sports goofy comes to my head but I can't be sure.

As of today the rain chance has disappeared again - fingers crossed it stays this way!! Right now the weather looks perfect.

Really really hoping they have K2SO out there for a photo op! I WILL wait in line for him!

I love your shirts! I'm coming off my second partial knee replacement, and while I ran the dark side about 5 months after my left knee, my right knee has not really healed the same (it decided to take it's sweet time and be a bit difficult.....) my training has not been what I wanted it to be, so I totally relate with both of those shirts right now! I've definitely had to rethink my normal intervals for this upcoming weekend!
