I have a new puppy too!!! So exhausted. DH says we can't afford Disney because of the puppy costs (and kitchen reno costs...). Also the whole "he will be a baby" when we leave him. To which I said the puppy is the reason we are going to NEED a vacation.
I was toying with this myself and I am still not 100% sold either way. I think it will depend what TS my Dbf wants to do once we sit down to plan. For 7 nights, if we even do 4 dinners and 1 character bfast the upgrade will be worth it IMO - I think for now I will just get FD and let myself breath for a moment and then crunch my numbers again. In the end I am thinking of upgrading, we tend to get "over" the QS selections quick and now that we have 2 snacks instead of 1 that takes care of breakfast every day.If QS is offered at the mods I'm considering stepping down into a value and paying OOP for our TS instead of upgrading to DDP. I'm thinking the difference would be about $300 ($800 to upgrade to DDP or $1,100 to pay for our TS OOP) It kind of seems worth it to pay $300 to keep those extra QS meals. It would be 40 meals. Is anyone else thinking about this? Obviously $300 for 40 meals is a good value but will we really eat 2 QS, 2 snacks and a TS every day????

I have done this as well--booked four rooms for my whole party and did not have any trouble, but it was a few years ago. I would stick with it if that is where you want to stay .We have 11 adults and 6 children traveling in our party. We are currently booked in 4 rooms at Pop Dec. 9-14. Hoping for free dining like the rest of you all! I am in charge of everyone's reservations(all 4 rooms).
I am getting nervous that once I get a CM on the phone that it will take them a long time to change packages to FD.... and not all rooms may get the special.
My question is this... Do you think it would be easier to book at a different resort that we could combine to just 2 rooms and 2 reservations and would it be cost effective to split the cost? We all don't mind sharing a room as we are all family traveling together.

With 17 people (I'm assuming you have at least 1 under 3 years old?),
Lucky to have that option for puppy sitting!! We have another dog too so add in the cost of boarding 2 of them with our sitter and DH is really "we can't afford it this year." I'm not listeninnnggggLOL agree 100%. I'm lucky have adult kids on speed dial who can babysit to 'work off' money they owe me![]()
HI! I was super excited to see your name pop up too. Looking at 11/25 to 12/1-same timeframe as last time . Hoping I can call (that should be fun...) and get CSR for the 1 night it is showing as unavailable so it doesn't throw a wrench in my entire week having to find another resort!Another familiar face!!
What dates are you looking at??

We don't have a preference as far as a resort. We are only planning to do quick service meals. I may check into AoA suites rates!
Was that Disney or Chase that you called? Might be me you are referring to, and I meant call DISNEY in the morning, not Chase. I would have one DV holder call in the morning, and politely ask if there are any promotions for Disney Visa holders that started this morning, and then report back here.Someone a few pages back suggested that a dv holder call and ask about FD. I called, told them when I would be in Orlando and asked about any discounts. She didn't seem to have a clue. She reminded me of the 10% discount at shops and restaurants, and the free picture at Hollywood Studios, but beyond that, she didn't know of any other discount. Hmmmm
My DH doesn't think he can get the week after Thanksgiving off again this year, and my sister doesn't want to go during Pop warner (bad experience that week in the past) either...now looking at 12/10-12/16 but I'm worried about crowds that far into December.
I just can't win...but not giving up![]()

I don't think you guys can fit in 2 suites at AOA. I think it would take 3. That would be $900-1000 a night.
Am I wrong is there someway they fit?
