I'm hearing so much negativity about Pop Warner week. I'm surprised Disney let's them come back, or ruin other guest's time.

They were there when we there in 2014 at CSR. I saw a group walking to cars twice. That's it. Didn't see any in parks and had no impact on our trip.

Don't be. It might make it harder to get rooms at all stars or CSR but once you are booked it won't have that big an impact on your vacation. Caveat - if you spend a lot of time at the sports center, pools, and resort quick service then you might see more of them.

3 of our children are under 3 years old. They are 2, 2, and 3 months.

I put in 6 adults and 1- 3 year old and it said it wouldn't fit.

Edit - I read 3 months as 3. Okay... so it might be a way to go. 2 rooms $670 or so a night. More expensive then pop but maybe better experience? Plus if it is split up over a lot of people not bad.

I'm sure it depends on many things, but they stayed at a hosting resort and didn't realize it and the noise level was crazy and kids were obnoxious. We had 1 night with the kids our last trip staying at sports and other than the food court being nuts when I went for our drink run at night it seemed fine. Your experience could go either way

Was that Disney or Chase that you called? Might be me you are referring to, and I meant call DISNEY in the morning, not Chase. I would have one DV holder call in the morning, and politely ask if there are any promotions for Disney Visa holders that started this morning, and then report back here.

I called Disney yesterday. Again, they said no discounts for DV holders. Although I have tried to keep up with this thread, did I miss something to suggest that there is news today? Is so, I will be happy to call again.

New here and only created an account (I like to stalk the threads and not participate) to tell you the conversation I had with a cast member today. We are currently booked at CBR 12/11-12/17. Today I changed our check in day which is why I asked the following questions:

1) If free dining comes out and I add that promotion to my reservation will I lose my free gift card?

answer: No, as long as you only modify the reservation your gift card offer is still valid.

2) Why did I receive a gift card offer?

answer: You booked your reservation prior to the extensive refurbishment announcement. Any one that booked prior to March 20th or 21st (I don't remember the exact date) will receive a gift card at check in. Any reservations made after that date are not entitled to the gift card at a check in.

3) Do you think free dining will be released Monday?

answer: We do not receive official information prior to announcement from Disney. I have not heard of any domestic free dining rumors yet, my best guess would be early May.


I know some of this information has nothing to do with free dining, but I have seen on facebook a few people that have book CBR recently with the hopes of getting free dining and the gift card so I figured that information was valuable.

I know that the cast members cannot leak information, but I would be surprised if the rumors we have all read are off by a week or two.

I just got hangouts this year. Last year I hung in till the last post then we started another thread just to keep up and visit. But I was finally able to get in. I was able to log in with my Iphone.

Sounds like Coronado is the primary spot, but I would guess the values will have some too. We were at sports last year and the lobby was filled with football players and cheerleaders when we got back from the park on 12/2.

Most people have said it didn't seem to affect the parks, but the food courts and pools were busier. All depends though! DH and I were fine to go that week, but sister vetoed.

This is my fear too. We do value anyway bc we are a family of 4 and my kids are little but yes- why would you get mod with QS when can pay less with value. Unless like u said your family is too big, otherwise I see the values getting filled quick also.

Bigger rooms, queen beds, nicer pool area - lots of reasons to choose mod over value.

If you're going to move the chat room. It would be best to move it to *******. It has alerts. So if someone finds something important a simple @everyone will alert everyone in the chat room. It also does push notifications, so it will alert your phone.

There's an app for pc, phones, and a web app.

O.K. Got excited and called Disney. They are still saying no DV discounts at this time. She told me not to give up and call back occasionally. Not sure if she knows something or not. She also said to call back in June or July for RO discounts for my dates (Oct.28-Nov.3).

Did you price out how much it would be to upgrade one room the one with 2 adults and 1 child to DxDP. Then share the credits between all family members? Leaving the other room with just QSDP.

i was wondering this the other day...we only want to do 6 TS meals so we only need 30 TS credits. All buffets and I don't care that a TS credit was used for a child. If I upgraded the child then I have more child TS credits...

and priced out
3 adults one room (kids are 13/16) upgrade to reg dining plan
1 adult 1 k in another
gives us 30 adult TS credits 70 QS
everything with upgrade is $5766

then I was wondering can i do
3 adults one kid one room
1 adult one room at dxdp deluxe upgrade
so 30 TS adult credits and 80 QS credits
$5716

could I do it that way? Just one adult in a room? I would like the rooms with a door between though so might not happen? Seems like a pain lol hubby is like are you nuts haha

Worth a shot! Again, I don't think that they will drop a DV discount early, but you just never know!

Thinking of booking poly for free dining since its ddp with ts (right now we are at pofq). Should I book now at poly and hope definitely free dining so i can the room type I want or just call in on Monday to do it all at once?
