I currently have a reservation for 2 rooms at POR with QS dining. Really hoping to snag FD so I can move up to deluxe- my dream is the Poly and 2nd choice Beach Club/Yacht Club. Grandma (me) is footing a lot of the bill and this is a bucket list trip for me. The last time I went to Disney was the first year they were open- been a while lol. And if that timeline holds true, this will be the one and only trip that I can arrange for me, my kids, and grandkids- 9 of us total in 2 rooms. It'll cost me a just a little bit more for the deluxe, but worth it for the experience, I think.

I am in your boat, taking the whole family, eight plus the baby, and footing the bill. I would love to stay deluxe but that probably isn't in the cards. We have 2 rooms booked at CSR and I am so hoping for free dining. But we will go without if necessary. Can't disappoint the grandsons!!

So if you cant get a mod for FD who plans on going deluxe ?

I would love to stay deluxe on the monorail line! Prob wouldn't do it this time unless we shortened our trip to maybe 7 or 10days. 14 days deluxe would cost me the same as a new compact car

Have you tried making a change to your reservation? Like adding or removing a day ticket? You can always change it back, but when I changed to PH via phone it fixed my modify button online.

I just called in and upgraded out tickets to 9 days and my change reservation link is still broke.

My dream is the Poly also! I will say though that I stayed at Beach Club and LOVED it. It has a great pool and it's in an awesome location. The Boardwalk is right nearby and it's in walking distance to EPCOT, my favorite park. I'm sure you can't go wrong with either!

My wife thought Anne Hathaway should have been Belle....I said she is too old and tall. Watson was ok, but she clearly can't sing......I do commend her for taking singing lessons as soon as she was "awarded" the role. Has anyone seen the Belle dolls in her likeness? Terrible.....I feel bad for her and think the group that designed and signed off on them should be reprimanded. The huge forehead (on the doll) just doesn't sit well....lol

My walkaway was I liked Cinderella live action better. I really appreciated the positive message they added to the movie - Have courage and be kind. B&tB was fairly in line with the original....I was hoping for some additional positive content.

Ha, I was on the phone with Disney because my res was showing my kids ages a year younger and MDE would not let me change it online and apparently I didn't here the dinner bell ring and my wife and kids left me at home..........what's up with that?

I saw that doll. It is incredible. I'd never pay for it, but Disney/ should hire him. Like I said earlier, I felt bad for Watson.

wooo I missed a lot while I was at work today!

Your wish is Disney's command! It's in the works now. Music by Lin Manuel Miranda (Hamilton).

Plus there's 2 other versions also being done. One by Universal and the other is an independent.

Be aware, they're closer to the HCAnderson version than the animated one.

The next Disney remake will be Mary Poppins which wrapped filming recently in England. Emily Blunt as Mary and LMMiranda worship as Bert.

There's a slew of other remakes/live actions from Disney coming up too including Aladdin (no Robin Williams) and Lion King.

If you're really hanging for some "real" Little Mermaid, you could always watch the Tom Hanks and Darryl Hannah 80s movie, Splash!

I will be first in line to see any movie his music is in. Hamilton is obviously awesome but beyond that his music in The Heights and even Moana is awesome. and he is even a great actor. I love that guy.

YES...but only if the price with free dining is equal to what I would I would have paid for a mod with the dining plan which...I doubt it would be. I mean not even 100 more since a mod is already pushing my budget. I really probably should have book a value. but...ya know... Its my first trip, my dram trip...you gotta atleast go mod if its something you have been wanting for over 30 years. I am pretty sure that even the free dining discount it wouldn't put a deluxe into my price range.

Are you talking about Canada or the United States? I know that in Canada, Easter Monday is actually an official holiday, but in the United States it is not. In the United States, government institutions are most definitely NOT closed, nor is the postal service. Banks do not close that day either. Some schools choose to take their Spring Break -- which was more traditionally called an Easter Break -- at that time, but that is up to the individual school district.

Even among Christians, the day after Easter is just not widely celebrated as a holiday.

Regardless, however, I think it would be odd timing for Disney to release it around a holiday weekend, when lots of people are out of town, traveling, focusing on family events, etc. Just seems like unusual timing. But certainly not impossible. I still say April 24th is the most likely date, IMHO.

Right, Easter monday isn't widely celebrated, as far as i know. When i spoke of Christianity, was referring to Good Friday being a sacred day.

Trivial, but it sucks having that easter dinner Sunday and then back to work Monday. Need a day to rest and relax after that!
