Oh my gosh, I got so excited when I saw that the Disney website now has 15 special offers. None of them were for free dining though. :( BUT...there seems to be a new discounted offer for up to 8/31, it's coming!!!!!
The 15 offers for Florida residents and annual pass holders have been there for about a week or two.

I"m watching along with the rest of you guys even though I shouldn't since we are getting ready to go in May. I mean I don't need 2 trips in one year right, even with FD and even if I really, really want to go for Christmas :rolleyes1.

Maybe a change of topic is in order! I have a question for those of you who do not have set dates. Will you book FD and then go look for airfare that day, or possibly even wait? What if the flights are that much more expensive that it offsets any value you are getting from the FD? Would the alternative be to check flights the morning FD drops before pushing the FD button so to speak? I keep playing with possible dates for free dining and some of the airfare is outrageous. I think I am leaning toward checking flights first as opposed to booking as fast as I can. Now that I think of it I guess this mostly applies to those traveling August/September, as I know most of November and December isn't released yet (I'm referring specifically to southwest).
This is always an issue for me. I start checking the year before to try to decide on best dates. It always seems that 3 mos. out is best. That being said, I don't usually end up flying within the year to use the travel credit, so I would wait till I've actually booked and hope for he best.

$176 is a great price! I always look at JetBlue but end up with Southwest. Jetblue doesn't have much service out of my airport (PVD in RI). One of the weeks I'm looking at the flights were $400 per person ( Southwest) which is definitely not in the budget. I've had luck waiting closer to travel time though.
I'm flying both SW and Jet Blue out of RI this summer. We bought early but I thought it was still pricey. $ 325. We also didn't choose by best price, we paid a bit more for certain times. Right now, SW has some good rates out of Manchester NH, best I've seen in awhile $ 133 each way for July travel, and starts going up for August.

We're debating on whether or not to even do DHS this year. The only rides we like there are the movie ride, toy story and tower of terror. I'm thinking we might just do an afternoon and evening there, do those rides and the shows we like and see Fantasmic. I think we'll have a free/sleep-in morning this day. I know a lot of people would disagree, but I just don't think it's worth a full day, especially now with all of the construction. We're not huge star wars fans either.
Definitely not a whole day at HS for sure. We aren't even going to see Fantasmic this time. I love the Great Movie Ride and Toy Story but I also love Beauty and the Beast, and Muppet Vision and Star Tours.

Does anyone have experience with the following: you get FD and hotel/room you want then you go to book airfare and realize if I arrive a day later/earlier the flight options and prices are so much better - can you call Disney and just adjust check in/check out easily? Obviously it would still need to fall in the FD guidelines and window - but basically once you have FD has anyone made slight adjustments to their trip? I am going for 6 nights regardless but my arrival has a 4 day buffer if FD is available - and if it is I was considering adding an additional night - but that is something I won't be able to do until I know I either get FD or have dates picked and check airfare.

Sorry that is probably WAY longer then it needed to be but this lack of news is driving me bonkers :tigger:

Jumping in, I finally made an account on here. Ive been lurking on this thread.

I'm planning our first Disney trip. I haven't been since I was 5 years old! Also, haven't been on vacation in 6 years. We're shooting for end of Sept, waiting for FD like the rest of you.
:welcome:

Guessing it's like the TIW & passholder discounts. Show your server your Visa card & id when they bring you the bill (or when you order if you would like to save yourself a little time). They should be able to take the 10% off of your bill before scanning your band for payment.
I've looked this up before, about the discount, I can't remember where you find which restaurants offer it?

Yes, I was surprised about Manchester, I was flying out of Boston in the past since Manchester got so expensive, but I was able to get a good price on SW for Sept. this time. 20 minutes away so I don't have to go into Boston!!

Favorite 2 rides: Haunted Mansion & Pirates
Star Tours & Great Movie Ride
Soarin' & Spaceship Earth
I really don't do many of the rides in AK...I love the Lion King Show and Flights of Wonder.

Good for you! I've noticed that Boston isn't necessarily giving the better rates. So glad....I hate the drive there, but especially after...ugh, just too far. We do the Stay and Fly package if we have to drive there, 3 1/2 hours for us in NH. We recently discovered a small airport in W. Lebanon and you can fly into Boston in 45 minutes. We are trying that for a cruise we are taking out of Cape Canaveral in May. Tiny plane, 8 seats...it will be like a Disney ride...LOL!

Have you seen these? I follow this guy on instagram. He repaints dolls and has tons if them on his site. He's amazing!!!! Googke noel Cruz dolls. This pic is the exact horrible one you are talking about, but redone. He then sells them on eBay for thousands! View attachment 230792
Wow...what a difference! It looks like a photo...is this what the doll really looks like?

I just listened to this to pass the time. What do you consider the most overrated snacks in Disney World. It's the churro's for me, they are too dry. But the ones in Mexico have this great caramel dipping sauce, makes all the difference. Here is the site if anyone wants to watch it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=COFr-qG8r0I
Oh my gosh, the CHURRO? Overrated???? I would go to Disney just to eat their Churros. Funny how you can love something so much and someone else doesn't. Lucky Disney has something for everyone. pixiedust:
