I wish I knew why people were saying POR wasn't included when the website list a few pages back doesn't mentionit.
Typically POR is only offered for the first part and excluded the second, maybe since the supply and demand is already shifted, people are assuming that it wont be offered.

Another day almost gone....and one day closer to Friday! :rockband: I have a play Friday night, so I won't be able to catch up till late....ugh....I'll probably have 50 pages to sort through by then....I hope!

I would like to, if I may, take you on a journey....Just kidding, but I was thinking something. It is totally understandable that the UK gets their deal dropped a month or few weeks before ours. People are commenting on how poor the deal is, but when the pound was compaired to the dollar it was a much better deal. The stay is longer, even if the park pass doesn't have to be as long as the stay they have rooms filled, with only one quick service, those staying in the mods and values will more than likely be spending much more out of pocket to buy their second meal. So I can see this offer continuing even when the south america and north america deals are long gone.

I think since so many Mods are already being booked with the displacement from the other renos going on, I'm not sure what will happen this year. I think that is why they changed the Mods to quick service because this isn't something that they HAVE to offer, its just a bonus to try and fill the rooms and with so many rooms already closed due to construction. How many do they actually have to fill...or where.....anybody's guess. We will see after the drop and people start dropping extra reservations what will open up. Who knows you might find something better next month when the reevaluate what is available.

I definitely understand looking at the historical aspect of it. Most of the time POR was only offered during the first part of the free dining. But the website, which is still just a rumor, actually doesn't mention POR at all. I'm actually going 10/01 - 10/09. May have to change it to 09/30 - 10/09 to get the free dining even if it is only QSDP. Not sure if I should add on a day before it's released or not. I dunno how I would go about adding free dining if it comes about - can you do it on the website or only on the phone?

I can't wait for this to be settled. It's just stressing me out!

More than likely I'll be staying with my friends, since they celebrate the Sabbath and close everything down I'll fall way behind in that 24 hour period.

It looks like the dates are pretty good (the rumored dates) comparing to the past. We have seen them change things at the last minute. Personally, if you are in the camp of "I am going to go ahead and book ahead of time and try to modify," I would add the 9/30 to your ressie now, or cancel the whole thing together and try to book afresh. I think that you are out of luck on 10/1

POR (not POFQ) was part of the FD offer last year, though I believe some of the dates were blacked out. The rooms offered at POR went fast! The number of rooms offered for the promotion was probably really limited.

I would choose CS over CBR.

I will be going for the first time in October and staying and POR in a Princess room. We booked in 2016. When did the DDP change to 2 snack credits? Will I still be able to get them if I book the DDP last year?

I totally understand, but if you see the offer drop and it fits your needs you should have a modify button, if not a nice long call might be in your future. If it POR is excluded I'm truly sorry, but if it does have the QSDP like being offered again it may be a lengthy call to move the check in date and hope that the hotel is still on the table. If it's not, again, don't lose hope. Many people have waited weeks and even months till they get what they want. Remember get what you want and can afford with Free Dining as just a huge bonus. I wish you all the pixie dust you get what you request. pixiedust:

If you don't make any changes such as resorts you should still have your initial reservation. If you check your reservation it will tell you the details of your dining plan.

You get 2 snack credits instead of a dessert with the quick service meals. I like it. I feel like it gives you more flexibility.

it absolutely does. If you want to get the QS dessert you can but if you want to use it another time or for something better you can. Such a good change. My 2nd credit will either go to something for breakfast or a starbucks!

Oh I agree. The deserts you get with the meals are not as good as the ones you can use the credit on. You can get a Venti Frapp at Starbucks, you can get ice cream sundays, HUGE and I mean HUGE pieces of cake, We had two people eating on one piece and still couldn't finish it. Plus snacks for traveling on the way home.

Ok... I think I have my plan for this year! We'all see what happens. However, next year I'm thinking I may just go ahead and book a BB if I can and save myself this frustration! Here's my question- next year we will be a large party 7-8 adults and 2 Disney adults!

What is the best resort for large parties that will not be excluded from a BB?

The ddp changed at the beginning of this year. Yes, you'll get the two snack credits.

That is a HUGE party, but you have 7-8 Adults and 2 Disney Adults....what is that?

I am super disappointed in this rumor of mods only getting QS dining. I just don't see the value in staying at a mod resort if this holds true. Why would I pay more for something when I can get a better deal for the same offer. I would bet there is going to be huge rush to book values and leave mods, Unfortunately for my family staying at a value requires 2 rooms or a suite and the numbers just don't work out. I guess I need to start crunching some off site prices or maybe Disney is going to finally price me out of a vacation and I will need to look elsewhere.
