I know I'm old news now that all the parks stuff is out...but in case anyone cares about my day...
In line for live action at 3 am. Surprise, they loaded us weird and my section almost didn't get in even though we had people who'd been there at midnight. It was close and people almost rioted, seriously.
Best part was Mary Poppins, the Lion King opening sequence, the Dumbo maquette and the Avengers.
Got a book signed by Marty Sklar. Met 3 parks artists. Saw the POTC archives. Met Moana, which I was really looking forward to but it was a mess. We had a vinyl record of the soundtrack for her to sign. When we bought it we were told if we paid $10 for a lithograph she would sign both. When we got to the front of the line they were trying to push people through so they could let standby in. They told us we could not have the litho signed and said no pictures. We were literally pushed up to her and then shoved away, I set the litho on the table and she did sign it. From the 5 seconds i saw her she was so sweet. It was not her fault. I was pretty upset, I understand wanting to let more people meet her but I got to say maybe one word before I was being pushed away. She barely got to sign my stuff. I got a papercut from the line handler shoving my litho at me. It kind of put a damper on my day.
We saw the droid trundling around the SW pavilion. We got some freebies at Disney animation and Pixar pavilion. Sunglasses, lithos, a pixar lanyard, pins, a Coco guitar pick. They were constantly handing stuff out so we hung out a while.
We stuffed some bags for kids at hospitals, they had a booth set up.
We saw the Kiss Goodnight panel...Richard Sherman played Supercalifraigilistic, Feed the Birds and the Kiss Goodnight. I feel like my life is complete.
Afterwards we saw Ben Schwartz, a Duck Tales voice and Parks and Rec star and the voice of BB8. He took a selfie with me and did the 'duck tales, woooo'.
