Although I do joke quite often on here, this time I was attempting to repeat exactly what he said...

Before they said that, though, they first said they wanted to preserve the original concept of Epcot.

Right...then went 180 on it.

Yeah...it depends on how you look at it. Is it the ride...or the line that determines that?

Is the Epcot character spot an E ticket? Peter Pan?

I'd say the new spine is a big improvement.

No...I mean If anybody still believes "guest demand"...then I got some beans to sell them.

That's Disney's admission of an ulterior motive.

It's the same as them claiming making a Mickey Ride is their answer to "original" rides like Pirates, Hauntes Mansion, Jungle Cruise. They tried that today too and I couldn't believe it. Using the Mickey IP, especially with the horrible new style of animation, is still using an IP and not making an original ride....

I'm surprised there is so much negativity with the additions and changes. Disney just threw a haymaker at Universal and it landed square on the chin. Yeah the prices will increase and they always do, but the crowds still come. To think they had room for Tron and were able to still keep the Speedway is amazing. Ratatouille coming to Paris and really not losing any of it's space, WOW! And finally getting a Mickey stand alone ride, the only one in all of the parks is simply incredible. I for one will work Xtra hours and save up for this when it opens. My heart is pounding with excitement...

We can debate the "e ride" thing till we're blue in the face...it actually has no definition and is largely interpretive...it's a moving target

Found the screen shot of their presentation map. It's in the treees on the north side of CBR, right on top of EPCOT's works showcase, behind Germany/Africa. It's a LONG way to HS. I'm sure you'll see them, you'll see EPCOT's a lot better.

The fireworks are much bigger and more impressive at studios though. Obviously we don't know what the future of illuminations holds, but CBR is close enough that a good view of the Star Wars fireworks will be impressive.

It's a repurpose...though hopefully a good one.

Have you been on a trackless? They really are the heirs to the omnimover...and that's good but doesn't make them "marquee" by default.

Look at it this way: wdw is gonna go from 0 to 3 of them in 2 years time...

...and they could announce even more before those open.

No...I'm not saying that..I'm saying this is becoming their standard flat/dark ride.

That doesn't make it "E" by default.

They claimed they are developing a new technology for it that they call "2 and half D."

I wish there was a clear video posted of the demonstration they showed of one of the "test scenes" they built. I was only watching it over periscope, but it was hard to tell what was screen and what was moving parts. It looked pretty cool. I want to watch several more times to see if it really is cool or if I was imagining it.

Imagineering uses it as a description for many attractions that they do.

OMG I just caught up. I had plans and unfortunately could not react live, but WOW, how amazing! Looks like I will need to continue renewing my annual pass for awhile. @rteetz It is so amazing see all these rumors come true!!

There is not a lot of it. There is only some.

Very exciting additions coming to EPCOT. Even the ones I can't ride like TRON.
