What is everyone thinking for characters? I am dressing as Rey so I want a photo with bb-8. I am doing the challenge so I cant decide which race to wear the costume for. Since he is popular I was thinking he would be at both, but this being the dark side, that may not be the case.

My running buddy @twinsouvenirs wants darth maul and bobba fett but I think that will be even harder to predict!

I am hoping they have Kylo Ren since that is what my costume will be. Bobba Fett would be awesome too. I was lucky to have gotten a picture with BB-8 at The Force Awakens Opening Night party at HS. I wish they would announce beforehand who will be on the course so I could plan my stops.

We'll be at the expo around noon on Thu. Fingers crossed!! That's about the time we usually get to these things... I've generally had decent experiences, but I'm not usually looking for one specific item that is expected to be exceptionally popular...

I did manage to get wine glasses at Light Side... would love to get Dark Side ones if they have them...

We are signed up for the 10K and have a room at the Boardwalk Friday through Monday.
Where do we get our packet the day before the race?
Will the pickup take much time ??
Will there be exact instructions??
We are not wearing costumes will we be "out of place?"
Our goal is just to finish but a few photos might be nice.
We have the free memory maker that comes with the annual pass.
Will there be Disney photo pass people there (esp at the finish line.) and do they need the pass or will the photos just show up like for the rides?
I booked the Boardwalk because I figured we would be right there and not have to wake up too early or have any hassles

Packet pick up is as ESPN WWoS and yes there will be busses (think Greyhound type) running often. Look for the Run Disney signage.

The expo can take as little or as much time as you want. It's Disney, there are lines, but it's pretty straight forward and most of the folks there are real helpful!

No, you won't be out of place sans costume!

I remembered the ESPN thing but I thought it was the restaurant.
We will have a car so we will just swing by the sports place (never been there) sometime on Friday.
We have no interest in the expo just want to get the packets.
If we are staying at the boardwalk we can just walk to our place in line on Saturday correct ???

Look under Runner Info. That will answer a lot, if not all, of your questions. There seem to be some misunderstandings/misconceptions that should probably be addressed by official communications rather than message board word of mouth.

No, you need to take a bus or drive to Epcot for the race start.

Make sure you read the Event Guide and runDisney.com.

Bummer. I was hoping that I wouldn't like any of the merchandise. I'm not coming in until Saturday so I doubt that some of the things I'm eyeing will still be available by the time I get there.

Ugh, same here. Let's hope they'll take orders for any of (or at least some of) the items that sell out. They've done that for at least some races in the past. I pre-ordered a jacket but now I'm reeeeeally hoping I remembered a pin.

Took another look at the course... The finish looks like it's in an overflow parking field (unless it's been paved recently). Anyone had a finish there before? Does it turn into a swamp in the rain?

And's what's the timing like getting back to your rooms after the race?

Has anyone without and AP or Memory Maker package tried to link their bibs to their MDE account for race photos? I tied to add them on Mydisneyphotopass by using the option to "add a photo pass card" as it seems to follow the numbering format below. "Link a ticket or pass" does not work as it is in the wrong format and won't save/link. The issue is I don't see that it saves or links them to my account when adding a card. My guess is that this something that is done after the photos are taken? Thanks in advance to any advice!

Can someone please explain the parking/transportation situation for the Half? My first runDisney event was the Princess 10k this year and it was pretty easy since start and finish were in the same area, but with this Half the program says there will be no parking at WWoS but they don't mention how you are supposed to get back to your car at Epcot after the race. Or maybe I'm just overlooking it?
