Official 2016 Star Wars Half Marthon - The Dark Side Weekend

Congrats to everyone who's in. My DH is in for the 5K and 10K, and I am in for the 5K and half. Looking forward to that Kessel medal.

Quick question for the more experienced - I was registering DH through his account and then thought I saw that the name of the registration changed from him to me when I changed the account's billing info for my cc. So in an absolute panic, I registered him again with his cc. But when I look at his Active account, he now seems to have two registrations.

Has anyone ever gotten a refund from active for duplicate regs? Or did I just make a $110 mistake?

Same, but, I wonder if it has to do with the new que system. They only let so many people in to register, then once those people finish, more are let in. And giving people 15 min to finish registering. So, instead of letting everyone in to fight for a spot if they can type faster, it puts everyone in a holding pattern. It almost draws out the period until officially being classified "sold out."

For W&D I was one of the people who did early registration, paid and clicked submit and was then told there was some unknown "error" so I tried registering again, and it told me I was already registered so I stopped. I went back and forth with people at RD and finally I was like yeah that explanation is great guys, but I took a screen shot. Right after I said that he gave me an email to some RD execs and within a half hour they had sent me a private link to register. The next registration they changed to this new system. So really, all my fault guys

Is there a way to go back and order the backpacks, pins, etc. after you've registered for the race?

Got in for the Challenge and was checked out by 12:02. Went back in and updated proof of time.

Always wanted to start one of these.

I am definitely in for this, and I have eagerly been waiting for an announcement for a long time.

I am leaning towards the Dark Side Challenge. Can't pass up on all that cool bling.

I have never been a runner and have never run a race in my life but I just signed up for the 5k. I can't wait!

For those trying to get into the challenge, keep refreshing! The last time it was no longer on hold, I was able to get through. You might have to be one of the first people to get in once "on hold" goes away. I have a feeling the half will be around for a few more hours at least. So keep trying for the challenge until it is officially sold out. Then you can register for the half or go through a TA or charity. It's interesting that rD didn't post any links for charities and TAs for this race only a list of names.

I have never been a runner and have never run a race in my life but I just signed up for the 5k. I can't wait!

Welcome to the addiction of runDisney! DH and I weren't runners either and ended up signing up for the Disneyland Star Wars Half back in January. There was a glitch that showed that the 10k was sold out right at 12 PM EST but we didn't want to miss out and signed up for the half. Now we've done 3 rD races in 2015, have 1 more this year, and 3 races next year. My poor checking account.

One question - I didn't see anything about race retreat? When I've registered for other races (Disney half, Princess and Avengers), there has always been an option at registration for Race Retreat. I don't see it anywhere for this race. With the new registration process are they doing race retreat at a later time? Anyone know? It's not critical, but I have always liked the option of signing up for it.

They usually have a retreat for larger races, cheer squad also. I have a feeling they will be adding to this later...
