Official 2016 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread

For Tink (if this helps!), I initially tried going through a TA for a hotel reservation, but couldn't find one that worked. However, through the link RunDisney provided, I was able to get the exact room I wanted with the same dates I need that a TA couldn't fulfill. I'm hoping for the same luck for Disneyland!.

It does, thanks. It is probably going to just be me for this trip, so I am leaning towards onsite, but OUCH! It is already double the cost of WDW Marathon weekend, not even counting the race registration price and airline ticket.

Trust me - I hear ya!

I'm doing Tink on-site because it's a girls trip now and it REALLY helps cut the costs when you split it three or four ways that don't come out of the same bank account!

The husband wants to stay onsite for DLH, but I think our friends are going to stay at the Fairfield Inn where we stayed last year. The cost difference between the two is almost $200/night, so I'm having a pretty hard time justifying onsite, despite my sweet husband's offer ... especially when I'm trying to squeeze in a few days in Hawaii after race weekend.

I'm going to put a deposit on a room for Friday-Monday anyway, but will likely end up canceling it if I can make Hawaii work and we'll just stay at the Fairfield Inn again.

I usually stay off-site, but I'm local. It really is so easy to get to the starting lines from some of the local hotels. We are so spoiled by this that racing in WDW is a tough transition for us!

We are staying using our DVC points this year; a real perk since I'm considering Dumbo. But I don't have a lot of points so I'm not sure the cost is worth it for us. I've got a local hotel booked as a backup. :)

In for the DDD and the 5k again this year since my birthday lands on race day for the later.

Wish me luck tomorrow I have to register for three races at once or its a no go (I am having surgery on open registration day, so its AP or go home in this household).

Working on my sisters to come! One lives in Brooklyn and the other in Seattle...hopeful for a Sister Weekend! Woot!

The Disneyland Half is my favorite of the Disneyland races. Hoping to get registered for the Dumbo Double Dare tomorrow. It will be my fourth Disneyland Half and second Dumbo. Going to be registering my soon-to-be 10-year-old daughter to run the 10k with me. It will be her second runDisney 10k, with both of us doing the Tinker Bell 10k together in May. Can't wait!

Just got an email for registration reminders. Oh how I wish I could. I wish everyone luck with registration.

I'm hoping someone can help.
I've got a question...I'm getting nervous about AP registration tomorrow. Do we go to the link on the DL.com page via AP that way or just the rD AP page. It such a stressful process I can never remember really how to do it. Does my AP have to be linked to the DL page too?
ANY help is greatly appreciated.

Your AP definitely needs to be linked to your DL account. I'm going to start on the RunDisney page that should push you to the DL passholder page, which is why your pass needs to be linked. It will require you to log in.

I recommend joining the Disneyland half marathon Facebook page. There is usually up to the minute info on there as to where to go and what not for registration. It seems like the process changes every year and every year there are problems with registration

We joined dvc speciffically for this weekend. It is so nice rolling downstairs and being right there for the race. Dvc is the only way to go

Looking at pricing for Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel (supposedly the cheaper disneyland hotel) it is still costly at $ 436! Errg, is there a chance this will get cheaper. I thought this places is normally in the 250-350 not in the $400 range. I wish they had a value hotel like WDW, we really want magic hours but we can not afford that price.

Holiday AND race weekend...so probably not. :(

It may be a little bit cheaper through runDisney. But it'll still be expensive - holiday weekend + race weekend raises prices.
That's why some (but not all) of the perks are available at Good Neighbor hotels - Disney knows that not everyone can afford their hotel prices.

Hit confirm for all the info on my DDD registration and it kicked me out to the main page where it now says "On Hold"! Aggravating!
