"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

When does the party merchandise get put out for purchase? I would assume at 7pm, but I thought I read that some said it was put out earlier than that. We'll be heading back into the park after a rest around 3:30/4:00 o I'd like to get my party goods as soon as I can!

Mandy (since you offered), and those of you who have been if you want to chime in.... what would you do exactly the same and what do you wish you had done differently? Thanks!

I think for me got a better spot so my mom could of enjoyed the stage show a bit better, otherwise wouldn't of changed anything. Maybe standing my ground better with the first party for the parade.

It was out by 4 pm both nights I went.

Anyone come across the poison apple photopass magic shot at WDW? I thought I saw that as an option on the the facebook page of Disney Photopass.
I looked up the Disney Photopass page on Facebook and found the picture:

That guy's expression just ruins the photo. Reminds me of Homer Simpson: "Hey look! An apple! He he he...":rotfl:

I got a poison apple magic shot on the way from older FL toward BOG. There were several photographers doing this shot. I like the one posted above better. Mine was taken in a very dark area in more of a straight on shot and my arm casts a large shadow across my body.

Awesome! Please post info what magic shots are available and where. That's one of our priorities for the party.

So it's 7.30 now and I've ridden Splash (10 mins wait), BTMRR (5), HM (10 mins), IASW (walk on), LM (walk on) and hit 3 ToT which were walk throughs at a leisurely pace. J&S seems to be shut already. Definitely less people around than the previous 2 nights and with it less CMs checking bands but I think that's because there were less people in the park to start with. Just about to hit tomorrowland and the hub so I'll update when I'm through the other side
what J&S line was already close at 7h30 that is really soon and it s a no sell out party..Getting really scare about oct 29

Ok, just made it through TL and the Hub. Space had a 5 min wait and Buzz was a walk on. The ToT trail at CoP was the longest line and took about 5-6mins to get through. The Hocus Pocus show was going on when I went through the hub so Main St was 2 people deep waiting for the parade but I imagine now the show is over it will get busier. Starbucks was empty though.

Just as personal note I have seen loads of people drop candy wrappers and dump cigarette butts on the floor which is ridiculous somewhere like Disney when you're only a few feet from a bin at any time. I also noticed at lot on the rides on other nights! Please just stick your wrappers in your bag till you get off the rides!

I saw it out way before 7pm. I no I was buying party stuff about 5pm in the emporium and the pin store in frontierland.

I think they close it intermittently when they're soon to be going on a break and to keep the pathways clear. I wouldn't worry too much

I've talked with our kids about what they really want to do at the party. One wants to meet the 7 dwarves and the other wants Jack & Sally. We plan to split up at around 5:00 to tackle both lines at the same time. We would like to also maybe meet Tarzan & Jane, Aladdin & Abu, Jafar, and Lotso. We want to see the parade, the fireworks and I think they will want to see the stage show to see the villains. The only ride that I'd really like to do is Haunted Mansion. They'll probably want to trick or treat a bit. We will be at the 10/25 party on a Sunday night… Besides doing the dwarves/Jack & Sally first, what order would you do things? We play to try to stay until the end of the party.

Mickeys not so scary Halloween party 2015 review!

Hey everyone and welcome to my short review! First off, the party was not sold out and I am only using th photo pass screen grabs becusse my camera is at home!

Ok so we entered the park at 4 o clock pm and it was already quite the experience... The not so secret is out and everyone comes In at four so with that and the day guests it's quite packed for awhile...

So we got to select three fast passes in that time period and I made the most use and got space mountain, Peter pans flight and haunted mansion!

We also got to ride: small world, pholarmagic, the little mermaid, buzz light year ranger spin, Prince charmings carosuel(hey never did it), monsters inc laugh floor *we were called out!* so we definilty got our rides in!

Ok party time!

See I took most photos with the characters last year so I didn't need to stand in line this year except for Ms Deville I stood in line at 630 was out of line at 710 not too bad and got some good interaction with her!

Candy was plentiful and large handfuls galore! It was an amazing experience and let's talk about the stage shows!

The hocus pocus show was absoeulty amazing it was so well done and the characters were absouelty incredible I'm telling you it was amazing! I saw it twice it was so good!

The fireworks are absolutely breath taking....my god how good was it was absoeulty breath taking in telling you it's a must do

Parade is the same parade but hey it is what it is!

Again it was the best experience I've had in awhile the crowds were plentiful, and the entertainment was amazing. I'm begging you if you haven't done it to do it. Put the negativity on these boards aside...you will have a great time!

Now, this is the experience I had in both 2012 and 2013 and am hoping for again in October. I have done 4 parties total with 2 of those being Halloween night sell outs. Yes, they were crowded but I expected it. I love the special entertainment at MNSSHP so much that I usually watch the parade both times each night and love, love, love the fireworks. Wish they could figure a way to do THOSE twice each party!

I really think that the opening night party was a function of the planets aligning in all the wrong ways. I doubt they will let things get that out of hand again, but I will be watching and reading until closer to my mid-October dates before I buy my tickets. Glad you had such a great time!

Our plan on the 27th is to catch the parade, fireworks, and stage show - with some trick or treating, seven dwarves, and a ride on the haunted mansion, with hopefully more characters. I hope it's realistic!

My plan for the October 25th party is rides, fireworks, and hocus pocus show
This is our only time in MK during our trip so rides are our priority.
If I see Mickey has a low line I'll stop and see him but its not like I wont see him in EPCOT the next day.

Are Pluto and Stitch out for the party? Because those are the only other characters I will stop for.

It was awful. I haven't missed an opening mnsshpnin over 10 years. Tuesday party was sold out. I was up front by town hall when the announcement was made and saw the angry/upset guests turned away in the line. That was going out the door. Inalsomwent to Friday's party. These were the worst crowd wise party's we've ever attended. We did accomplish a few things but nothing like we normally do.

I have a BOG reservation at 7:05 the night I'm going. I'm fine with missing party time - curious to hear from anyone who went to BOG on a party night and what your plan of attack was after dinner? also how long dinner was? There are only 2 of us so hoping not too long.

I'm wondering if I sticking it out for the 2nd parade after the fireworks and want to watch the 11pm (I think that's the time) stage show where's the best place to camp out? Will I have to move forward from say a FP firework area to see the stage show? I'll have a double stroller so fighting crowds won't be easy.
