YES!!!! We leave 19 days from today. Not like I'm counting or anything. 12.5 more work days at that. Wooohooo!!!! I'm ready.

I bought this a couple of years ago at DL and use this to countdown all my races. It gets year-round use!

I'm actually glad it's still 3 weeks away, (well I leave 3 weeks from tomorrow), I need my flared up knee tendonitis and one shin split to heal. As I ramped up mileage it flared up bad & worse than ever so I'm using arch supports again, which I think we'll do the trick to healing but I need the time. Dang, high arches. I asked on the other thread, but anyone have a preferred arch support that's not custom orthotics? I'm just using Dr. Scholls as that's what I used for a long time in the past. thanks!

I like Powersteps - $25-$30 per pair. 1 pair last me through 2-3 pairs of shoes.

I think there should be a law against calling anything not made from 100% beef a "hot dog"...I'm sorry, but I'm from Chicago and only 100% beef (Vienna Beef, boiled, on a steamed poppy seed bun) is allowed. This is travesty if any pork make into a casing and masquerades as a hot dog.

I'm not a huge beef eater either. Ever since the beef incident which led to me having body parts surgically removed (gallbladder), it has just not appealed.

Wow, I sound like the world's pickiest eater hahaha!

It's probably easier for me though since I don't need any of my summer clothes at home at the moment.

We are pretty much done with our costumes for the 10K. Here is a little sneak peek.
My sister will be going as Tinker Bell and I'll be Peter Pan. They may not look like much yet, but they look decent when we have them on.
(I'll also have green shorts and green running tights)


If you see us running by be sure and say hi... I'm hoping I'll be able to recognize some of you guys among the thousands of people, but its tricky when I used to identify you by a avatar and screen name ha ha.

I've been using the Archmold Maximum insoles (which I believe is owned by Powerstep) for a couple of years now and like them. I like them a lot!

Yippee it's getting more real Get Travel just emailed their travel guide for final preparations!
My girlfriend just bought a bib for the 10k . She is doing a Creulla theme her first Disney Run! Total virgin !! She is truly in the theme. She has never been to Disneyland, so excited to share the experience with her and all the festivities planed for us. Kicking up our heels!!

I'm getting antsy. I still have no waiver, and I just want to print it out already. I know there's still tons of time left, and considering I had a very later registration it's to be expected, but it's driving me nuts. Don't they know how obsessive I am about things? Haha. I am definitely registered according to their information so at least I know I'm definitely in. If I can't find my waiver by Monday I'm contacting runDisney again.

Question......we are doing Dumbo but technically not going to the parks and won't arrive in time for the party. Suggestions on how to get a Dole Whip?
I think I promised someone months ago that I would try it.

I've have been following along for all 123 pages and coming out of lurking to say HOW JEALOUS I am for y'all! Did the DDD last year and it was so much fun. Now that I am posting I'll be able to get notifications as you get out there are start having fun!

OH. TRUST. I love the "cheese" dogs from Corn Dog Castle at DCA. Perfect snack while waiting for WoC.

I'd be lying if I said that when I've stayed at the Grand Californian hotel I've NEVER heated up some tomato soup, put it in a thermos, gone to Corn Dog Castle and dunked a cheese dog in it!

If you're flying into/out of lax, you can get dole whip at this place called Local Place in Torrance on Western right off the 405 freeway on the way to/from LAX. They are a branch of King's Hawaiian Restaurant (the bread company).

Yesterday I went to my local frozen yogurt shop and saw that they were offering Dole whips in all but name. It's less than two miles to get to, so I see a lot of "training runs" to here in my future!
