the 5k bib was $90 each, I already bought the DDD (me) and 10k (DD) from Jim way back. I think the original 5k registration price was $80, so not much of an markup.

However the thought of waking up early 3 days in a row LOL...what we do for Bling!!!

Back to the medal. It's growing on me - especially since it's so unique to all of the other runDisney medals, but I REALLY need one of those traditional D logo medals.

Guess this just means I'll have to run next year too, right?

That happened to me with Wine & Dine. I really wanted the SSE medal and signed up to run the race in 2013 - they unexpectedly changed the medal to Chef Mickey! It wasn't even an anniversary year. I was bummed!

Then I signed up again in 2014 and got the Chef Mickey/SSE spinner. Whew!

@Keels here are the 3 rD spinners I have. The only one without a spot for engraving is the Goofy medal, probably since it's a challenge. I'm guessing the DL half medal can be engraved on the back above the spinner, similar to the W&D medal.

I can tell you what week the corrals will come out...you see, I am going on a cruise starting on 7/25 and will not have Internet access. runDisney will sense this and will put out all kinds of pertinent info.

I'm headed on a business trip to West Coast on the 25th........sounds like the corral reveals will be a done deal on the 25th!

They just change the ribbons now. I liked how they did them when they 1st started doing them w/ the year in a little box dangling from the bottom of the medal. But I'm not complaining, they still are a beautiful medal!



I noticed that yesterday too. It's a nod to the 60th, b/c they have the diamonds all over the parks and the colors for the celebration are blue and white.

Should I try to make reservations for Steakhouse 55 breakfast on Sunday after the half? At tink we walked down I wanted a mimosa after my run and they were not taking walk ins. I totally forgot about mothers day that morning. Went to the airport to have my mimosa broke the bank sure glad I didn't have two!

All medals will look even better after we have them safely draped around our necks!

If you want any specific meal that day, I would make reservations. Especially for breakfast and lunch - I imagine there will be a whole lot of people having celebratory post-half meals!

Did 2 today (followed by yoga which felt sooooooo good), 9.5 tomorrow. And my outfits are almost ready!!

I rode my bike last night! A whole three miles!

My knees were pretty painful today, but it's a step in the right direction and it was nice to get the blood flowing after being down since Saturday morning!

OMG! My husband just said he'd do the 5K as well, if I can find him a bib!

It would involve him taking a day off work (he'll be in California working at the home office in Santa Monica already), but he said "$99? That's not bad at all! It's a Disney production, so I know it will be worth it. Can we have breakfast afterwards?".

He's so cute!

How's training going?

Did 2 today (followed by yoga which felt sooooooo good), 9.5 tomorrow. And my outfits are almost ready!!

I use time instead of distance to calculate my runs. I'm up to 1:30 this weekend, which worked out to nearly 11.5km. Pretty happy with that, especially since I had a little twinge in my calves last week after overdoing the hill repeats lol!

I forget whether you've told us what your outfits are Will you be sharing when they're done?
