So, as of this afternoon, I am officially a marathoner!
The issue I've been having with my knee/hip came back with a vengeance today and I wasn't able to run the last 5 miles or so. I couldn't even maintain a 16 minute mile walking pace. I might have just spent the last 2 miles just crying because I wanted to just be done lol. But I did it! I am worried that based on how my leg feels now that I am actually injured and not just sore. I will have to go to the doctor this week. I am a little nervous now for disney but I would certainly take it much, much easier there than I did today.
Congrats! I hope you are injury-free and can still be ready for Disney. The WDW Marathon is definitely a race where you want to take it slow and enjoy the scenery, so that shouldn't be a problem!
Hope you feel better soon!
Hope you feel better soon.
Take some time and rest and recover, you have time to heal before the Disney weekend and you can definitely take it easier in a Disney race. That's my plan!
He told me the same thing. He also told me better to go into a race injury-free and under-trained rather than fully-trained and hurt. I think that's some pretty sound advice.
