i'm in for dopey and DH is in for the half (his first ever!). we (and our boys who will be 5 and 3) will be staying through MLK weekend. can't wait!!
Thanks for telling us it worked for you! I was having the same problem. After I read that, I went back and tried mine again and sure enough it let me through. I would not have tried it again if you had not written that, so I really appreciate it. My husband and I are registered for the marathon, my first since the great frozen marathon of 2010 (one of the best days of my whole life). I am excited now to focus on training! Sorry, I do not know the answer to the question above.Interesting ....... on the page where one needs to sign the waiver it says that the race is full. Yet I tried just to pay and it worked. Any idea if I, as an annual passholder. can register my son and his girlfriend? Thank you, Dan

And omg I just signed myself up for the Half. I surprised myself 100%. I hadn't even thought about it. I was sick as a dog this year for the 5K I limped through with DS, he started getting sick on the day of his Mickey Mile, and was REALLY getting sick with what I already had, as he was watched over by my aunt as I limped even slower through my Very First Half marathon. We were too sick after that to go to a park and wear our medals, which is a much bigger bummer than I ever thought ahead of time it would be!
But suddenly I just went to the DVC site and just did it. And I'll be signing the family up for the 5K once it's open (WHY am I not an active AP holder now? WHY?) for me. (why can't I do the 5K with DVC?)
I am glad to hear you registered. I think you definitely deserve a do over!
Dh and I got registered for the half too!![]()
I think that the "do-over" concept was rolling around in my head subconsciously, and that's why I ended up on the site today. OK it was also because I was checking on something (question on another board yesterday) to see if I'd answered correctly. And then boom. Registered. I was messaging with DH asking if he had objections, and he'd barely said anything and I just went ahead registered. At least we have all those air miles!!!!
This might be the visit that we actually DO book a campsite and bring our tent, LOL.
So glad you guys are registered! Let's just follow each other back and forth across the country, OK?![]()
You submit payment at the time of registration. There is a button that says "register another person" once you get to the checkout page, and no early reg is not closed yet - AP and DVC links should still be working !Can you register multiple people? Do you have to submit payment when you register or before the dates mentioned on their website? Is early registration closed for now for AP holders and DVC members?![]()
This may have already been answered, but the thread is just getting too long to search properly. How bad is it to drive to Epcot? I live locally, and I really don't want to spend the extra $$ on a hotel stay. Is it completely intolerable to drive yourself?
Hi everyone! I'm signing up for the 1/2 and this will be my first half. I'm working on increasing my mileage and walking less. My goal is to just not get caught up by the sweepers!
This is also about 3 months before my 40th birthday, so it's my present to myself. I hope to get a lot of information from all of you people that seem to know everything!
I know the marathon sells out quickly, but what about the half?
It's not completely intolerable. It just requires getting up even earlier and risking traffic problems on the way to the parking lot.
Even EARLIER? I live 8 miles from Epcot. I was hoping I could sleep until 3. Maybe I'll just take this opportunity to stay at the Beach Club or something.
I wouldn't expect the marathon or the half to sell out super quickly this year - I think the 10K and 5K will (10K is popular and both races have slots taken by Dopey runners)...Goofy as well since it's an anniversary year.
