I've got a 1/2 in 6 weeks that i'm training for now.....did 10 miles on Saturday. But i'm sure that come October i'm gonna be lazy and need a "rest" after all that training. and it'll be cold and rainy and dark before work....i'm so not a morning person anyway, it's a struggle now to get up at 6am and it's still sunny out! I know i won't be able to do it when it's dark!
but i'm doing Tink and Princess....and both 1/2's and 10K's! I've got to keep it up because i'm not about to waste all this money i've spent! LOL I just got some new headbands....so that was cool for this weekend. I may need to spring for a new skirt or shirt after the 1/2 in September to keep me going.
Also....since i have a 1/2 coming up.....i certainly don't want to start the Tink /GSC training program at the beginning do it? Can't i modify it a bit and keep up 8 or so miles every other week until i get to that point in the program? I don't want to go back to 3, then 4, then 3 and so forth.

My main motivator, the BF, is hurt right now too...so that makes it even harder! UGH! On the upside, I got a new pair of my favorite running shoes (in an awesome brand new color combo that wasn't even on the shelves yet in the store!) and a pair of Beats ear buds that I've been eyeing for my birthday over the weekend. Normally, that's about all it takes to get me back in the mood, but I'm still struggling. I'm planning to, at the very least, put some treadmill time in this week because I just don't think I can stomach 100 degrees in the outdoors after being so lazy the last couple of months. I always do this to myself between races!
And the temps...eeww. Hopefully buying something new at your store will match your new shoes and then you will fall back into place.
LOL! Oh well, thankful we're not reliving the summer of 2011 with those record breaking continuous 100+ days...I can't even remember how many days in a row it was, but it was ridiculous...that was the first AND LAST time I trained for the DL half. It totally broke me!
