Hi everyone. I am registered for the 10K only and I'm leaning toward making this a family trip. We've had several other family trips to Disneyland, but this is my first time doing a runDisney event, so there's few things I have questions about.
1. How many discounted park tickets can you buy from GetTravel. We have a family of 6, possibly others may join us as well. Are there any other limitations to the discounted tickets? Is GetTravel the cheapest option?
2. How busy are the parks that weekend? Our state has Monday off of school for Martin Luther King Day. Do the CA schools have that day off as well.
3. I'm looking at staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn, 3 nights in a mini suite for about $530. Does anyone have any better suggestions for a family of 6 on a budget?
4. What exactly do you get with the Chear packages? What's the differences between the complimentary, silver, bronze, etc?? Do the Chear packages sell out?
Thanks for the help!
1. I had called GetTravel regarding tickets for the Disneyland half weekend and was told that I could buy "as many as I want". I figure it's the same for Tink.
3. I'm staying at the Del Sol Inn (a couple hotels down the block). I chose it because they have rooms with 2 queens and a bunk bed, so no one would have to sleep on a sofa bed. They offer lower rates through their website- I got the room for $109/night. I haven't been there before, but I figured for a rate that low, I had to give it a shot.

SF Marathon ~ have you run it before, and if so how's the back 1/2? I'm really leaning towards doing the full next July. I've done the 1st 1/2 and Nike enough that I know what to expect/hill training wise, but was curious what the last 1/2 is like. I'd assume elevation is little easier than the 1st part?
Hi! No experience w/ asthma, but for weather wise for Tink, no worries about humidity! In all my DL races, there was only 1 time there was humidity and that was for the 5k that's in Sept, but even that was gone by the afternoon and gone for the 1/2. And if you're coming from the East Coast, you should be fine heat wise. It'll be warmer than winter in NY, but no where near warm for summer NY. At least for me, the past 2 years, I was in capri tights and a short sleeve shirt and was fine. If you're at 13:30 now, even inside, you will definitely be fine by 2015!
