Official 2014 Tinker Bell Half Marathon

Centipedes are still there. I didn't see as many as I thought I would, I think I saw 3. As for the naked people, I couldn't do it. It just seems painful w/ all the bouncing from running. But you could definitely smell the suntan lotion. It was interesting though ~ there were people along the course, w/ professional type cameras, but not pro pics you would buy, taking pics of only the naked people. I was thinking they would match up their bib #'s and either ban them for next year or send them a ticket in the mail, but the cops didn't do anything, so you never know.



I feel your pain, I'm not doing the SF one this summer. I'm going to miss running on that field. Hopefully the pitchers will have their heads straight by then! Have fun in DL though!!! Hopefully it's not to crowded for you.

Thanks Kim! Its going to be our first summer visit EEK! I'm a little nervous about the crowds but at least I have everyone sold on the "we have to be there for rope drop" strategy!

No idea why, but my days are all off this week. I keep thinking it's Fri and forgetting that this weekend is Memorial Day. It seems "early" date-wise to me.

After spending *way* too much time stressing about my costume for Princess, I sort of stumbled upon the perfect pieces for my costume for Tinkerbell:

That's my Neverland 5k Costume! No shorts though, I wear cut off sweats.

Just got an email from HoJo about 1/2 off roomes for next weekend... I will not book a room I will not book a room. Why can I not have a money tree in the backyard? It would make everything so much easier sometimes.

Hi! I'm planning for Tink with my husband as well. The parks will probably be open until 10-11pm, with Disneyland usually staying open an hour later than California Adventure. I would actually suggest that you get park hopper tickets. The parks are so close together that you can hop between the two easily.

Me too! I'm thinking of going as Fawn, the orange wearing Fairy who is friends with Tink. I have a Tink costume but when I looked at last years pictures it was a sea of green, so I want to do something in the fairy theme but a little different.

Please let's talk costumes!! This is my first RunDisney event!! I'm doing the 5k with my 13 yr old DD.
I'm looking for 2 female characters. I was looking at Ursela & Arial. But open to suggestions.
I cant sew. I also am concerned about being cold. I live in Arizona and get cold easier than most.
But I am super excited about dressing up!!!

I was planning on staying on site (first time ever).
When I called Disney they suggested I call another company and they offer marathon weekend discounts. Is anyone familiar with is? What is my best options?

GET Travel does the discounts for the RunDisney events. They have discounts on hotels and park tickets. For 2013 Disney had discount tickets that were about $15.00 more than the GET travel tickets for 5 day hoppers. The GET Travel tickets don't have any of the extras like Magic Mornings like the tickets direct from Disney. The only problem is the Disney discount wasn't available until about a month before the race weekend.

Does Get travel have special runners discount or will my AP discount be as good as I'm going to get?

I've never done a costume...but then again I've only done one Disney race. I dont know if I'd be comfortable in one. They're so cute though and they look like fun to plan....hmmm I might have to try to get creative this year.

This is very true! I'm a walker and finish much later than the runners. Our DS ran Tink with me this year. He was in corral C. He finished, ran back to the Grand Californian and showered, went into DCA and rode RSR twice as a single rider and made it back to the finish line right on time to see me finish
